The next day, I was in my office, waiting for news from my gamma, Wayne. I needed to know how her first night in the dungeon was like. I'm sure she must be scared to death by now. I let out a scoff. She should have been less stubborn while she was with me. Serves her right.

I heard a knock on my door and soon after, it flew open.

Wayne walked into the room quickly with a not so pleased expression.

“Tell me, how is she?”

“According to the guards. She stopped crying yesterday. When they went in to check on her. She doesn't seem to be worried or crying. It seemed as though she had accepted her fate.”

“What? How can she accept fate just like that? Not even the strongest of my men could survive the dark prison with no food and water. It's impossible that she'll be calm just like that. Sure they checked her properly?”

“I believe they did. On the other hand, you have a visitor, Alpha.”
