Chapter 5

*Piper's POV*

"Piper! What are you doing?!" Matteo's voice came through and brought me back to reality.

I opened my eyes. I felt horrified with myself. I gave in to Jaxon too easily. He raised himself off and I felt the fight within me. I pushed him off of me. He was confused as he didn't expect my reaction considering what I just let him do. I moved myself as far as I could to the other end of the bed and wrapped myself in the red sheets.

"Stop!" I shouted. "How could you make me do that?!"

He thought for a moment with a serious look on his face. His hazel eyes looked into mine. "Piper, I didn't force you." He stood up from the bed. "I don't know what you've heard but I would never force someone into that, especially my mate. You acted on your own desires."

I was silent as I glared at him.

He sighed. "Why don't you take a shower? I'll come get you when the food is ready."

I kept my silence. He could tell he wasn't going to get anywhere with me on this right now. He turned and left t
