Naeva Quinn

My steps dragged lazily across the grounds of the school, I wasn’t ready for whatever the principal was interested in. I just wanted to find out the secrets. Waiting ahead.

Inside the office, the air was calm, too quiet. Behind the polished desk sat the principal, his expression calm but not readable. Opposite him sat Mrs. Ivy Devereux, the school’s guidance counsellor. Her gaze lifted immediately, sharp and scanning into my eyes, as if she had been waiting just for me.

“Good morning,” I greeted both of them.

“Good morning, Naeva,” the principal replied with a practised smile. He leaned further, folding his hands. “From the academic reports, I see the Wolfes have improved remarkably. They are not what they used to be known for. That means something.” His smile didn't falter.

My throat dried. The Wolfes. Always the Wolfes. I nodded, pretending no storm was brewing

Theo“Let’s talk outside,” my voice lowered as I spoke to Jax.The heat inside the room vanished as the air outside, but with its coldness, it almost cut my skin. Jax joined me almost immediately, shoulders balanced, waiting for me to speak.“Hey, guys.” Camden’s voice came in. He walked over casually, oblivious of the fact that he might have words into a serious conversation. He was about to enter when Jax snapped, “Keep your voice down.”Camden frowned. “What’s happening here?”I hesitated, but the words fell out, “Uhmm… she’s inside.”“Who is inside? You guys, why are you not speaking clearly?” he asked, eyes moving. He already knew but wanted someone to say it. If Camden was guilty about something, it was about his fear o

Naeva QuinnI opened my eyes gently. The world tilted, blurry, and my head throbbed like I had just had a hammer fight. I didn’t flinch or move at first, I just lay there, willing to breathe properly. Waiting for my eyes to adjust to the dimly lit room.Shapes sharpened into those old familiar words, curtains drawn against the light outside. My chest rose and fell with forced breaths. Confusion pressed and the blankets were tucked around my body.My senses shifted, I recognised the house and perceived the old smell of the walls and papers, but how did I get here, and how long had I been there? On the bed. Then footsteps started approaching.A silhouette moved near the doorway, walking into the bright space. My eyes followed, straining, until the familiar form of a broad chest came into focus.“Jax…” I breathed, relief slipping in my chest. I tried to sit up, but pain shot through my skull, f

Naeva QuinnThings were getting too difficult—far more serious than I had imagined. First, it was the howls I kept hearing at night, in dreams, always like warnings for just me. And now, a bite mark?“No…” I whispered into the silence, shaking my head, like denial could take the reality away. “I must find answers. If the boys won’t tell me, then I’ll find out by any means necessary. I can't be in the dark anymore."The room is still dark, shadows filling every corner like watchful eyes. I lit the small lamp on my desk, its glow was pale but stretched ahead of me. My phone blinked with the time—it was just past seven. A soft groan slipped from my lips. I was supposed to meet the boys for training, maybe even learn the rules as a new team member. How could I have let myself sleep through that? But it didn’t matter now. Only Answers mattered now.I pulled on a shirt and moved quietly, careful not to wake anyone. My footsteps were soft as I moved down the corridor, my phone flashlight clu

Naeva QuinnThe morning came sooner than it should. My body still ached, not from sleeplessness, but from memory. It was from the memory of those lips. Of his hands, of the heat that pressed against me.And now I was here, late. I rushed down the hallway, boots squeaking against the floor, breathing uneven and short as I stumbled into Classroom 102. My bag slid down my shoulder, it was almost falling. But I caught it too quickly. They were already there. The five of them. Sitting like they owned the air itself. That's always them.My gaze, betraying as ever, searched and ran to him. River. And like he was waiting, his eyes met mine. And I burned. Heat crept across my cheeks, pulling me into the sharp, unbearable images of last night. My mind revisited it without mercy. His mouth on me. His hands pulled me apart.I bit down on my lip so hard I nearly tasted blood. My fingers held the chalk like it was the only anchor that kept me standing upright.I turned to the board.Focus. Teach.

Naeva QuinnMy mind scolded me against it, yet my body whispered yes.I should have pulled back, but I couldn’t. His lips burned on mine. My chest rose and fell in jagged breaths, each one swallowed by the heat building between us.Instead, I lean even deeper and closer.Like it was right.Or was it?His hand grasped me hard, yanking me against him until there was no space. I gasped into his mouth, dizzy from how fast everything was moving. The wall behind me, his chest is at my front. But there was nowhere to escape to.My fingers were shaking but they wouldn’t let go of him. Every nerve in me screamed to clutch tighter..When he bent, lifting me effortlessly into his arms, my breath broke into keen fragments. I held him as he carried me. Each step thudded into my heart.. The door. The room. The tiled walls. And the bathroom. The air was colder inside, but his skin
