Tristan’s POV

The small wooden boat finally came to a stop, and I jumped into the shallow water, the early rising sun stretching long shadows across the cold surface. It bit at my legs as I waded toward dry land, each step heavy, unsteady—like a defeated man who had lost everything.

My mind kept dragging me back to that moment. Rose turning away. Choosing to go back to Kavian, back into danger, instead of taking my hand and stepping into the boat. I had called out to her. Again and again. She never turned. Now she was gone—gone in a way that felt final, absolute.

Will I ever see her again?

The thought hollowed me out. I pictured her surrounded by her mates, by their father, and my chest tightened until it hurt. What would they do to her? The not knowing clawed at me, relentless, driving me close to madness.

Why did she have to do something so foolish—going back when she was that close to escaping? I had promised her, promised Kavian and her father, that I would keep her safe. And now

Rose’s POVAlpha King Armon—my mates’ father. The name alone settled heavy in my chest. He was the one person I despised above all others, yet also the one person I couldn’t refuse. Not because I feared what he might do to me—that no longer mattered—but because I knew exactly what he could do to Kavian if I disobeyed him. That was the chain around my neck.“Drop the dress and tell your Alpha I’ll be joining him for breakfast,” I said.Grace bowed immediately. “I will, my Luna. I should take my leave now.” She backed away respectfully before slipping out of the room, closing the door softly behind her.My gaze fell to the dress. For a heartbeat, my fingers twitched with the urge to rip it apart, to tear the fine fabric until it lay in shreds at my feet. I swallowed the impulse down. It was just breakfast. And maybe—if fate decided to be kind for once—Kavian would be there.Since the day he stepped in to stop his brothers from touching me, we hadn’t spoken. I’d seen him in passing, brie

Author’s POV“My parents?” Tristan straightened, turning to face the adults around him. “My parents—where are they?” The words came fast, edged with panic he could no longer hide.“Please, come with me, Alpha,” the man said quietly.Tristan followed. They entered one of the few buildings still standing, its walls cracked but stubbornly upright. Inside, survivors huddled together—familiar faces streaked with soot and grief. Some recognized him and murmured greetings, but Tristan barely heard them. His eyes searched desperately, passing over each face until—Relief hit him like a blow when he spotted his father seated in a corner.“Father!” Tristan crossed the room in a rush and pulled the older man into a tight embrace, holding him as though letting go might make him disappear. Gratitude surged through him—his father was alive. Yet even as the hug lingered, something felt wrong. His father remained stiff, arms unmoving, offering no return.Tristan pulled back, confusion flickering acro

Rose’s POV“Don’t touch me,” I said, swatting their hands away from my body, my skin crawling where they’d almost reached.“Come on, Rose, you can’t deprive us of your body. It’s our right,” Roshan said, his voice edged with impatience.“My body. My rules,” I shot back, my frown deepening as I squared my shoulders.“That’s not fair,” Shirin said, lips curling as he leaned closer, his tone sliding into that familiar flirtation. “And don’t tell me you haven’t been craving our touches too.”Normally, that look, that voice, would have stirred something in me.It didn’t.“No, I haven’t,” I said, and the truth rang solid in my chest. How could they even think that? At a time like this—when my city lay in ruins, when my people were dead or missing—how could they imagine I’d be thinking about desire? Wanting their hands on me? Even if they were my mates, after what they and their father had done, the thought made my stomach turn.“You can’t say that, Rose. We need you,” Arman said, stepping f

Rose’s POV“Show your face. Now. Take off the cloak.”The man’s sword remained leveled at me, its tip steady, unforgiving. I had no choice. My fingers trembled as I slowly lifted the cloak from my face. Inch by inch, the cool night air brushed my skin. I raised my head, forcing myself to meet their gaze—and the reaction was instant. Eyes widened. Faces drained of color.“You…” they breathed in unison. They surged toward me to recapture me, boots pounding the ground. Tristan moved immediately, stepping in front of me, hand going to his weapon—but before he could even strike, something moved faster than sight. Two bodies hit the ground almost simultaneously. The world seemed to pause as I stared at the figure standing there, one hand clenched around a still-beating heart. Recognition slammed into me so hard my knees almost gave out.“Kavian,” I whispered, half-expecting the vision to vanish. He looked at me then—really looked at me—with those mismatched green and blue eyes that had alwa

  • Mated To The Quadruplets Lycan Alphas    Chapter 165

Author's POV Kavian waited until the escort reached a narrow stretch of road where the mountain rose sharply on one side and the forest dipped away on the other. It was a natural choke point—rocky, unstable, and already scarred with cracks from years of erosion. He crouched low among the boulders above the path, hands pressing into the cold stone, feeling the faint vibrations of boots and hooves passing below. He worked fast but carefully. One stone loosened another. Pebbles trickled down first, tapping softly against rock—harmless sounds, easy to miss. Then he drove his shoulder into a larger slab wedged precariously at the edge. It resisted for a breath, groaning under the pressure, before giving way.The mountain answered. The first boulder broke free with a thunderous crack, slamming into the slope below. That was all it took. Rocks began to tumble in rapid succession, bouncing and colliding, the sound swelling into a deafening roar. Dust exploded into the air, thick and blinding
