Alpha Waylen's POV

I rushed towards the door and held the knob. “Alpha wait!” Luke's voice called out to me, I stopped in my tracks, turned around with my heart in my mouth.

“What is it Luke?” I asked sharply, trying to keep my voice steady.

Luke hurried over to me, a serious expression on his face. "Alpha Chad is up to something," he said, his voice low. "I just saw him speaking with some of the pack members outside. They seemed to be gathering."

I frowned and a surge of anger coursed through me. "What?" I exclaimed. "I thought you said everything was under control!"

Luke held up his hands, trying to calm me down "I know, Alpha, and I'm sorry. I thought I had the situation handled, but it seems Chad is more cunning than we realized." He paused, then continued, "I think you should come and see for yourself."

I hesitated for only a moment, then nodded and followed Luke to the window. I leaned forward and looked down and I saw Alpha Chad surrounded by a group of my pack members, a
