“What do you mean?” Richard froze in place, his voice trembling, his wide eyes glued to Eloise’s retreating figure.

Eloise turned around slowly, her face pale but steady. Her lips parted, as if the words she was about to say weighed heavily on her tongue. “I asked you a question,” Richard repeated, a step closer now. His voice cracked as desperation clawed its way up his throat. “Did you… did you find a donor?”

Eloise nodded gently, her eyes not leaving his. “Yes.”

Richard blinked at her, stunned. “You… you found a donor?”

“Yes, Richard,” she said again, this time louder and firmer. “I found one.”

His hands trembled. “And… and it's a match?”

Eloise gave him a small, sad smile. “Yes. You’ll be fine. You’re going to live.”

It took Richard a moment to process the words. When they finally hit him, he staggered back slightly, his eyes wide in disbelief. “I’m going to live…” he echoed, as if the very idea was too surreal.

She smiled again, but this time it barely reached her eyes. “Live a g

The metallic rattle of keys twisted in the lock. The door opened. Ainsley strolled in, holding a brown paper bag like it was just another lazy morning. “Good morning,” he called out with a bright, infuriating cheer. “I brought beef buns. Hot, just how you like them.”She didn’t move. Didn’t speak. Her hands were still trembling.“You’re welcome,” he added with a smirk, tossing his keys onto the counter. She stayed rooted by the bed, watching him like he was a rabid dog that might pounce. He raised an eyebrow. “Silent treatment again? Come on, Eloise. You’ll hurt my feelings.”She finally moved with slow reluctant steps into the kitchen. Her eyes scanned the windows, then froze. Bars. Cold, thick iron bars bolted across the balcony.“What the hell did you do?” she asked, her voice sharp and shaking. He turned to face her. “Safety upgrade.”“Safety?” She laughed bitterly. “Is that what you call locking me in like some caged animal?”“I call it protecting you,” he said smoothly.“You thi

Eric exhaled slowly. “Maybe she thought you’d try to stop her. Maybe she was afraid.”“She didn’t need to hide it from me,” Ainsley snapped. “If she just wanted to find a donor, I’d have helped. But she planned this whole thing alone. Even when I was recovering from amnesia, she was plotting her next escape.”Ainsley fell silent, staring at the floor like it held answers he hadn’t found yet.“I’ve built empires with less effort than it took her to lie to me,” he said finally. “When she promised to return from Waikiki, she’d already decided to do this. If she couldn’t find a donor, she’d give Richard her own marrow. She was ready to die.”Eric leaned forward. “Ainsley… don’t blame yourself.”But Ainsley wasn’t listening. “Three years ago, she escaped me with careful planning. This time, she came back just to die. And the worst part? I didn’t even see it coming. I thought she was finally choosing me.”He gave a hollow laugh. “Do you know what she told me on her eighteenth birthday? That

Eloise’s breathing was rapid and erratic, her chest heaving against his. Ainsley crouched over her on the asphalt, holding her limp form like something fragile but slipping from his grasp. He looked down at her face; so pale, so hollow..... His hands, bloody from shattering the glass, trembled as he brushed a lock of hair from her eyes. Her lips moved slightly, barely a whisper. “Let me go…”Ainsley clenched his jaw. His throat bobbed, trying to swallow the scream building in his chest. “I’m not letting you go,” he said, each word tight and low, like a vow dragged from the depths of him. “Not now, not ever again, Eloise. You hear me? I’m not fucking letting go of you again.”She didn’t respond. Her eyes drifted to the side, unfocused and her mouth was slack. Then Ainsley heard it. Alex’s voice. “I didn’t do this. She’s the one who snapped. "I tried to stop her.” Ainsley slowly turned his head, his eyes glowing gold now, his wolf clawing to the surface. “You touched her,” he growled.

  • Mated to her Enemy: Refusing his Rejection    What is The Truth?

Eloise sat rigidly in the passenger seat, the cold leather pressing against her back, but her skin felt like it was burning. Her hands were clenched so tightly in her lap that her nails cut into her palms. Her jaw was trembling, but she wouldn’t allow herself to cry.The silence between them was brutal. Only the sound of the tires humming over the road filled the space. Alex drove, stone-faced, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw the devastation clouding her expression. Her face had gone pale. Her lips moved slightly, but no sound came out. She looked broken, and he hated that it made his chest tighten. Before, she'd always felt strange about her grandfather's inconsistent behavior. The shifts in his tone, the hesitations in his eyes, the tension she couldn’t name. Now, everything could be explained. He cared about her very much, but in the end, he chose to support Richard. He said everything in the Anthony family belonged to Richard. That declaration had shattered her.He said h

  • Mated to her Enemy: Refusing his Rejection    Hidden Truth.

Eloise didn't have time to dodge. Alex's slap landed with a deafening crack, his palm smashing against her cheek with such brute force that half her face immediately swelled and turned red. The sting was sharp, like fire spreading under her skin. Her head whipped to the side, strands of her hair sticking to the corner of her mouth. But she didn’t flinch. She straightened slowly, her chest heaving with steady breath, and lifted her head. A sarcastic smile crept across her bruised lips, unfazed.“Why are you still laughing?” Alex growled, his voice breaking. “If it weren’t for you, how could I accidentally hurt poor Aura and kill her?” His tone cracked with rising emotion. “Huh? You ruined everything!”Eloise blinked once, then twice, before letting out a dry, mocking laugh. Her hand touched her face gently, and she hissed, but her eyes danced with amusement. “Did I incite you?” she scoffed. “Did I threaten you to kill her? No, you killed Aura out of pure selfishness. That’s a fact, Ale

  • Mated to her Enemy: Refusing his Rejection    Mr. Delusional.

Kevin gave a curt nod, stepping aside and ushering the woman and her son inside with subtle urgency. As soon as they crossed the threshold, he bowed slightly and pulled the door shut behind them with a soft click, sealing them inside Ainsley’s den.“Emily, Sit.” Ainsley commanded coldly, motioning toward the plush couch across from him. He didn’t bother to offer pleasantries. There wasn’t time for that. His gaze rested heavily on the woman and her child…Gary’s lover and illegitimate son Jared. Ainsley didn’t want to risk Eloise’s involvement, not when there were alternatives. So he found them first.Emily hesitated. Her instincts screamed that something was off, something dark looming in the air. But she forced herself to move, sitting stiffly with her son beside her. Jared leaned into her, sensing the tension. Ainsley wasted no time. He slid a folder across the coffee table toward her with quiet finality.Emily blinked, confused. She opened it…and within seconds, her entire expressio
