AURORA’S POV.

A knock sounded on the door, and it was pushed open; I turned around to look and watched him walk in.

“You set? We have to leave now.” He said, and I nodded firmly. I was dressed and ready for my new job.

“I just need to adjust my lipstick. It looks like a mess. I don’t want to show up at work looking like a character from a horror movie.” I joked and turned back to stare at my reflection in the mirror, my thumb going over my lips to blend up the excess ones.

I heard him laugh softly.

“Horror movie or not. You look good in almost everything.” He complimented.

A smile curled up my lips.

“That’s sweet. My best friend decided to compliment me. Awnnn!.” I played and chuckled softly.

His compliment was still running through my mind. It warmed my heart to know that he thought of me as beautiful. Maybe it would have been more beautiful if he had seen me more than a friend. Suppose he said these words from a heart filled with love for me.
