Chapter 3

Penulis: H. Spoonie
After Perry and Shirley left, Adelaide visited me in my room. She informed me that Alaric was already preparing to return early and would be back in around four days.

Although he could not return promptly, he did send an engagement gift ahead of himself—an heirloom box with the royal family crest carved into it.

I was quite surprised. After all, Alaric had never taken a mate in my previous life. Therefore, I did not expect him to not only willingly accept this marriage but also take it seriously.

In return for the respect he was showing me, I decided to give him a gift as well.

My father had once prepared wedding gifts for me—among them was a mineral called glacite, mined from the foot of the snow-capped Southarc mountains. Any weapons forged from glacite were practically indestructible.

In my previous life, I had the glacite forged into a spear that I gifted to Perry. However, he had not treasured it and casually forgot it on the battlefield during one of the battles we participated in.

In this life, I decided to use the glacite to forge a war hammer, which was the weapon Alaric was the most proficient at.

As I ran through all this in my mind, I found myself walking unconsciously toward the storage room where I stored my belongings. When I opened the door, Shirley's sweet voice drifted into my ears.

"Sylvia won't be angry with you for giving me something from her wedding gifts without obtaining her consent, will she, Perry?"

"What does she have to be angry about? She's just a bootlicker, and once she marries me, I'll be able to do what I please with these things, anyway," replied Perry.

In the storage room, my belongings, which had originally been arranged neatly, had all been rummaged through and left in a mess. Shirley was also wearing all my treasured jewelry.

I said disbelievingly, "These are my wedding gifts. What right do you have to mess with them or even give part of them to Shirley?"

I hurriedly snatched my jewelry off Shirley's neck and returned them to their boxes.

Shirley covered her neck, which had red marks from when I had forcefully retrieved my jewelry, and hid in Perry's arms. She wailed, "Did I do something wrong for Sylvia to treat me so cruelly, Perry?"

Perry hugged her in distress, then turned to yell at me, "Weren't you planning to give all these things to me, Sylvia? I said that I didn't want them at the beginning, but you insisted on giving them to me, which was extremely annoying.

"What's wrong with me giving them to Shirley now? Didn't you say that both you and these items all belonged to me?"

I simply could not believe his shamelessness. "Who said that these were yours? These items and I all belong to my future husband!"

Perry laughed scornfully. "Am I not your future husband? You should quit while you're ahead. I've already agreed to marry you, so stop pretending that you're some dignified maiden."

As I looked at some of my formal dresses that were being held tightly in Shirley's arms, I suddenly became angry. I muttered a silent incantation, causing flames to ignite and burn those clothes to ashes.

Shirley screamed shrilly and let go of the dresses, but the fire still scorched her a little.

I said firmly, "Did you see that, Perry? Don't be so arrogant. Even if it's something I cherish, as long as they've been tarnished, I'll destroy them without the slightest hesitation! I don't want things that have been dirtied, and that's even more true when it comes to people!"

Upon seeing me like this, Perry froze on the spot. In the past, even when I got angry at him, it was only because I hoped to get his attention or was throwing a tantrum like a spoiled child.

He had never seen me this calm and looking like I wanted nothing more to do with him.

Subconsciously, he tried to grab my hand, but Shirley suddenly started sobbing. "My hand hurts so much, Perry. I think I've been burned. It's alright, though. I'll handle it myself. Hurry up and comfort Sylvia so she won't be angry at you anymore."

Perry hesitated for a moment before scooping Shirley into his arms and walking out with a scoff. "There's no need to bother about her. Just let that woman wallow in her ugly jealousy and reflect on herself."

  • Mates Again? No Way   Chapter 10

As Perry confessed his love to me, Shirley, who had a mate bond with him, convulsed in pain behind him due to his confession. Her abdomen seemed to have been injured because he shoved her just now, and a faint trace of blood could be seen. However, Perry, her own mate, ignored the scent of blood in the air and simply looked lovingly at me.I found this irritating. After all, the wedding ceremony was about to begin!"It's too late for regrets," I told Perry. "A relationship between us is no longer possible. Please leave, and stop disturbing me!"Perry clearly did not want to give up just yet and attempted to grab me. Fortunately, Luna Queen appeared just in time. She angrily scolded the two of them and ordered the guards to escort them away to the Rivia Pack. With her help, I successfully finished putting on my makeup and set off from the palace on time.Deep in the forest, under the brilliant moonlight and with everyone as our witness, Alaric and I swore a sacred oath before the

Despite Perry apologizing repeatedly and even pleading with Luna Queen, he could not change Alpha King's mind. He was not Alpha King's biological child, after all. He had already been quite old by the time he joined the royal family alongside his mother. He had also always been afraid of Alpha King and dared not get close to him, so he had never developed much of a relationship with the latter.Even though Alpha King had always treated Perry favorably throughout the years on Luna Queen's account, Perry's transgression against me was as good as a transgression against the princess. That, in turn, was a transgression against his favorite son, Alaric.Whether as a monarch or as a father, Alpha King had no intention of continuing to be cordial with Perry. No matter how much he tried to delay his departure, under Alpha King's orders, Perry had no choice but to depart for the Rivia Pack that day. However, it just so happened to be the day of the wedding between Alaric and me.Just as I

Although its form was different, the uniqueness of the glacite used to forge the war hammer gave it a color and chill identical to that of the spear Perry had used in his previous life. Perry quickly guessed that I had given this gift to Alaric early on in this life.In his previous life, Perry knew what this gift meant to me, so in order to humiliate me, he had not cherished it and deliberately left it behind on a battlefield. In this life, it felt like he finally realized with clarity that my heart was no longer his. As this thought ran through his mind, he gradually increased the intensity of his attacks on Alaric.Although Alaric responded with all his might, he was worried that I would get hurt. He was also worried that many of the treasures in my room would be destroyed, so he was inevitably mindful of his movements.Seeing as Perry was about to strike Alaric where he had an old injury, I picked up my bow and shot Perry in his left hand.Perry howled and, as he had already s

I looked speechlessly at Perry, who was standing on the balcony and knocking ceaselessly on the window. Did he think I would fall for the same trick twice?Back when I realized that he had entered my room through the window, I had ordered people to install the sturdiest mechanism they could on it so that it could not be opened anymore from the outside.Worried that the sound of him continuing to knock on my window would alert other people and thus reach Alpha King's and Luna Queen's ears, Perry could only use the mind-link to communicate with me from outside the window."Let me in, Sylvia," he demanded. "I have something to say to you.""Well, I don't, so please leave," I replied ruthlessly."You—I'm telling you, Sylvia, if you marry Alaric just like this, you're going to regret it! Listen. You were married to me in one of your previous lives, and you loved me so much that you were even willing to die for me!"You're only marrying Alaric right now because your jealousy at seeing

"Mind your manners, Perry!" Luna Queen admonished sternly.Perry had no choice but to suppress his shock and sit down, his hands clasped tightly together. Blood flowed constantly from his hands where his nails had dug into his skin.Shirley anxiously helped him treat his wounds, but he completely ignored her actions. Instead, he kept his gaze on me and Alaric, who were being showered with blessings and praise from the people present. After the banquet ended, Alaric very courteously escorted me to my room.He got down on one knee and lavished me with heartfelt praises for how beautiful I looked that night, then invited me to go out on a trip with him the next day. My heart beating fast, I shyly accepted his invitation.I returned to my room, but before I could even turn on the lights, a pair of hands suddenly hugged me from behind in the darkness."Why is Alaric the one who's marrying you, Sylvia?" demanded Perry.I could hear the sound of him gnashing his teeth coming from behin

  • Mates Again? No Way   Chapter 5

Young Alaric did not have the seriousness and reservations that he later possessed as Silverania's Alpha King. Currently, he was full of vigor and strength.Everyone stood up to welcome the young heir. Over the years, Alaric would use his clever mind to negotiate with the rogue packs populating the outskirts, expanding Silverania's territory without bloodshed.Everyone's eyes were on him, but his eagle-eyed gaze was fixed upon me.At that moment, Perry glanced at his pocket watch and said, "I have to pick someone up. Behave yourself in the meantime."He was already hurrying out of the banquet hall as he spoke.I ignored him, staring directly at Alaric instead. Alaric also seemed to have noticed me return his gaze, continuing to look at me.After he finally finished his conversation with Lacus and Adelaide, he immediately strode over to my side and stood where Perry had been sitting just now.He exchanged pleasantries with the nobles, then tugged me into sitting down and courteou
