Chapter Four: Jasmine Baxter.

Justin had just finished taking a shower and was about to get dressed when his room door flung wide open. He didn’t need to look to know that it was his father who had walked into his room.

He turned and faced his father. “What do you want from me, ‘daddy’,” He asked. He noticed the slight scowl on his father’s face when he called him ‘daddy’. 

 And that made him smirk. Isabella was the one who usually addressed him like that. It was cute when she did but not so much with Justin.

Sebastian walked over to the couch which was in the room and sat on it. “You are going to be taking over as the CEO of the Gerano company tomorrow,” he informed.

“Really, what made you decide to hand it over to me? I thought you were going to give me another test to show how capable I am,” Justin sneered. 

“We Geranos keep our word. I promised to hand it over to you if you were able to manage the company abroad and you’ve done just that," Sebastian replied. 

“But don’t think i won’t be watching your every move. I won’t spare you if you mess up," Sebastian threatened. 

“Anything else, daddy,” Justin asked.

“I’ve built you and Austin a side by side mansion. Take your brother and leave my house immediately," Sebastian ordered coldly. 

“Why the rush? I just got here and you’re already kicking me out. Are you that scared that I’ll steal mom away from you?” Justin asked mockingly. 

Sebastian burst into laughter at his son’s question. “Before she became your mother, she was my wife. Don’t dream too big son, you can’t snatch her away from me.”

“And yet today, she chose you over me. She not only served my food, she fed me as well,” Justin reminded sebastian.

“The only reason she did that was because she hadn’t seen you in two years. Don’t let it get to you," Sebastian said. He stood up and walked out of the room.

He headed straight to his room after he left Justin’s room. He saw Charlotte watching a movie. He immediately climbed on the bed and pulled her into his arms. This had been his habit since he confessed his love to her. 

 Charlotte immediately put her tablet down so they could talk. “What is it?” she asked as she could feel something was bothering him.

“You fed your son and forgot to feed me,” he sulked and buried his head in Charlotte's neck. “You’ve forgotten about me so soon.”

Charlotte rolled her eyes. If only people knew how big of a baby the most feared man was when he was around her. “You know I would never forget about you,” she assured sebastian.

“But you didn’t serve my food like you always do and you even fed your son,” Sebastian whined. 

“Our son,” Charlotte corrected. “Stop your whining. I’m tired and I want to rest. Goodnight!”

Sebastian wanted to say something but Charlotte had already closed her eyes. He did not have the heart to wake her up. She had been up early in the morning making preparations to welcome the boys. 

He kissed her forehead and pulled her closer. “Goodnight my love.”

Meanwhile, after Sebastian left his room, Justin picked up his phone and called Austin. 

“It’s late in the night Justin. Why the hell are you calling me?” Austin yelled as he was annoyed.

However, Justin was unaffected by Austin being annoyed. “Meet me at the garden in ten minutes,” he said calmly.

“Are you crazy or stupid?!” Austin asked. “It’s eleven o’clock in the night, we have to be up early tomorrow morning to resume our new jobs and you want me to meet you.”

“I’ll see you there in nine minutes,” Justin said and hung up. 

‘That asshole! Who does he think he is? Does he think I will come just because he asked me to,’ Austin mused irritably.

Justin got dressed and headed out. He didn’t take any car as he didn’t want to alert his mother. 

He passed the back of the house to the path that connected the mansions together and he arrived there five minutes later. 

He heard the rustling of leaves moments later. He turned and saw Austin approaching him and as expected, he looked angry. “I’m going to kill you.”

“You can kill me later, first hear what I have to say,” Justin said calmly. 

Austin looked at his watch and set the timer. “You have five minutes after which I’ll kill you,” said Austin.

“My dad said he has built two mansions for us…”

“I know my dad told me,” Austin said, cutting Justin short. “I’m not moving it yet.”

“My dad wants me to move out as soon as possible,” Justin informed.

“How is that any of my business?” Austin asked irritably.

“You’re moving with me too whether you like it or not,” Justin said firmly.

Austin yawned. There was no way Justin would force him to do what he didn’t want to. 

The timer he had set suddenly went off. “Well Justin, your time is up. How do you want me to kill you?” he asked as he lunged forward.

“Marcelo already gave me all the information regarding that crazy woman,” Justin said. 

This made Austin stop in his tracks. “Wow, that was fast. Who is she?” he asked eagerly. 

“Her name is Jasmine Baxter and She is the illegitimate child of Luscious Baxter,” Justin answered.

“What?!” Austin exclaimed. “I never knew he had an illegitimate child.”

“That’s because he didn’t want the world to know so he wouldn’t lose his respect.”

The Baxters were one of the well known families in the country. They specialized in the food industry and the family had produced the greatest chefs the country had ever known. They were second to none when it came to that aspect.

 “Her mother was a model back in the day. She met Lucious through a competition as he was the chef in charge of their meals. They started hanging out but she found out that he was already married. However, she found out too late as she was already pregnant. The Baxters refused to accept her and her child and they made her life hell. They used their influence to ruin her career and made sure she didn’t find any job. Their actions caused her grandmother to die when Jasmine was ten. Her mother has raised her up all alone till this point” Justin revealed. 

“Wow, that’s a lot to take in,” Austin said, still shocked by what Justin had just revealed. “And I'm sure they would have also made Jasmine’s life a living hell. That’s sad,” he commented.

“Yeah,” Justin agreed. 

“So what are you going to do now? Get revenge or let her go?" Austin asked.

Justin’s lips curled up into a devious smile. “What do you think?” he asked Austin. 

Austin, who recognised the smile, grinned. “I smell a plan coming and I am so in,” he said enthusiastically.
