Chapter Two: The hot-head red-haired woman

“Jasmine, where are you?” A woman yelled as she entered a house. “Get your ass out here Jas, I have really important news to tell you!”

A door opened and a fair lady with red hair came rushing out. “What is the important news Ella?” Jasmine asked.

“Your neighbor Mrs Hart’s daughter got cheated by her husband,” Ella revealed. “And honestly, I do not feel sorry for her,” she added.

Jasmine hit her friend on the shoulder which made her cry in pain. “You shouldn’t speak like that. No one woman deserves to be cheated on,” she said with sadness in her voice.

Ella understood why she was sad as she spoke about the matter and she couldn’t help but feel sad as well.

“Not her,” she clapped back. “They are always making fun of you and instigating everyone against you. This will make them calm for a while.”

Jasmine smiled at Ella’s words. “This is why I always tell you that I do not believe in love. It’s just another avenue to get hurt. My mother fell in love and looked at where it got her, the same as Mrs Hart’s daughter.”

“Don’t be like that Jas. Just because a few people had bad experiences doesn’t mean your experience will be the same,” Ella said.

“Just give it a chance. I’m sure there is a prince charming waiting out there for you.”

Jasmine chuckled and walked out of her house. “Trust me when I say that I’m not going to fall for any prince charming.”

Ella followed her and looked at her with a mischievous smile. “We’ll see about that.”

There was a loud cry before Jasmine could react to Ella’s words. She recognized the voice to be her mother’s. She rushed to where the cry had come from and she saw her mother on the floor.

She and Ella immediately rushed over and helped her up and picked up the bags of fruits which were lying on the ground

Jasmine looked up and saw a fleet of cars passing by her. She quickly looked around and saw a bottle of water lying on the ground.

Not caring where it came from, she picked it up and threw it at the cars. Luckily for her, the bottle hit the back of the last car and it stopped.

The rest of the cars also stopped as well. And as soon as the cars stopped, the doors opened and at least twenty men came out of the cars and they were all dressed in black suits. There was no mistaking that they were guards to someone very important.

“Jasmine my dear, you shouldn’t have done that,” her mother scolded. She gulped in fear when she saw the guards.

These people seemed to be very rich and she was scared of them. This was because one of such rich people ruined her entire family and caused her mother's death.

“I don’t care about that mom. They almost killed you. It’s only decent that they apologize,” Jasmine said stubbornly. The door to the car she had hit opened and a man came out of it.

He was wearing a black suit and as he turned to face her, she was able to observe his features.

He had blue eyes as deep as the ocean, jet black hair which was really slick; a stubble jawline and high cheekbones.

In one word, he looked stunning. She could feel herself getting lost in those deep blue eyes of his. A man suddenly stood beside him, snapping her out of her thoughts.

‘Twins,’ she muttered to herself. The second man looked a lot like the first man. Blue eyes, jet black hair, a stubble jawline and high cheekbones.

But there was just something about the first man that made her heart beat faster.

“Who threw this?” the man asked in a deep voice and it sent chills down her spine. She was not the only one as she saw the terrified expressions the people around them had.

“I did,” Jasmine answered and got closer to him.

“Why did you throw this at my car?” the first man asked menacingly.

Jasmine, unlike the others, didn't flinch at the sound of the man’s cold voice nor did she turn her gaze from his.

“It’s sad that despite the fact that you’re rich, you can't hire drivers who can drive properly. What a waste of your money,” she said in disgust.

She hated rich people especially those who acted like they were the kings of the world just because they had money and power.

“Listen woman,” the man’s twin brother suddenly said . “Do you realize who you just spoke to?” he sneered.

“I honestly couldn’t care less about who you people are. All I want is for you to order your men to apologize to my mother for almost killing her,” she retorted.

The two men looked at each other and then back at her. They didn’t show any emotions on their faces making it difficult for her to know what they were thinking about.

“What you did damaged my car and you’re going to pay for it,” Justin said in a condescending tone.

“Oh please, nothing has happened to your car,” Jasmine retorted. She wanted to say more but her mother spoke.

“Sir, I apologize on behalf of my daughter. Please forgive her,” the mother begged.

Ella bit her lips as that was her habit whenever she got nervous. She knew Jasmine was about to lose her mind and that would not be good.

And just as Ella had predicted, Jasmine lost her cool on seeing her mother apologizing as it brought back old painful memories.

“There is no need to apologize mom; these people do not deserve it,” she said.

“They almost ran you over and yet they expect us to apologize. Listen here mister, just because she has no money doesn’t mean you should disres…”

Jasmine was unable to finish her sentence as Justin did something unexpected. He opened the bottle of water and started pouring the contents on her head.

“Are you crazy?!” Jasmine yelled as she cleaned her face.

“You talk way too much,” Justin said irritably.

“Way too much,” Austin agreed. He dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out his wallet.

He brought out some money and gave it to Jasmine’s mother. “This is for your hospital bills.”

After that, the two men turned and intended to go back to their cars. However, something hit their car. They turned and saw Jasmine throwing fruits at their car.

After she was done, Jasmine collected the money which Austin had given to them and walked up to them and threw the money at their faces. “Here, use this to pay for your car’s bill.”

“You’re dead meat,” Justin said to her.

“And you’re a rotten fruit,” Jasmine clapped back.

Austin touched his brother’s shoulder. “There’s no point in talking to such a low class woman. It will only stain our reputation. We’ll take care of her later. Let’s go.”

Justin nodded in agreement and they both entered their car, leaving a fuming Jasmine standing outside.

Marcelo, who had been watching the whole scene, shook his head. The two men were just as arrogant as Sebastian.

The fault was clearly their driver’s but the two men were too arrogant to accept it.

He sighed and entered his car. At least a good thing came out of the whole incident and that was the fact that Justin and Austin were no longer at each other’s throat and they were even riding the same car back to the mansion.

After they had left, Jasmine’s mother turned to face her. “You shouldn’t have overreacted like that. I already told you I was fine,” she scolded.

“I overreacted?” Jasmine scoffed. “They could have killed you. Just because they are rich doesn’t mean they rule the world.”

They do Jasmine or have you forgotten about your grandmother.” as she mentioned her late mother, the woman's face turned grim. Without saying anything else, she turned and headed into her house.

Jasmine looked around and saw how her neighbors looked at her in disgust. And once again, she was reminded of the fact that she was an abomination. She groaned and left the scene in anger.

Ella wanted to follow her but she knew that Jasmine would want to be left alone and her mother as well. She sighed and took a taxi back to her apartment.

Meanwhile in the car, was a fuming Justin who was still unable to believe the fact that the woman had disrespected him.

He was the heir of the Gerano and from a young age, everyone including those that were older than him respected and feared him and that was how his life had been.

So for someone to disrespect him this much made him angry. Those who tried it had met a very painful death and this woman would not be any different.

Austin, who was beside Justin, picked up his phone and called a number. The person answered on the first ring as he had been expecting Austin's call.

“Find out everything you can about that woman,” Austin ordered.

“Ok Austin,” Marcelo said and hung up.

Austin turned to look at Justin who was still visibly angry. “Marcelo is going to find out about that woman. We are going to be seeing our family for the first time in over two years so I suggest you wipe that expression off your face and smile.”

Justin said nothing to Austin but his expression softened as he saw them approaching the gates of the Gerano Mansion.

He would soon see his mother and sister. Lord knew how much he had missed them and the thought of seeing them brought a smile to his face.

Austin noticed Justin smiling and said, “I know I’m handsome but stop dreaming of a future with me. I’m not attracted to ugly men.”

Austin’s comment made Justin scowl. “You idiot, we look the same!” he retorted.

“Nah, I’m more handsome,” Austin persisted.

“Driver, step on it, so I can be far away from this idiot,” Justin ordered irritably.

“Sister in law, the boys have arrived,” Danielle informed.

“Ok Danielle, Sebastian and I will be down there in a minute,” Charlotte said. Danielle nodded and left the room.

Charlotte turned and faced Sebastian who was sitting on the bed with his head bowed like a criminal who had done something wrong. “Do you love me Sebastian?” she asked.

He lifted up his head and looked at her. “What kind of a question is that? Of course I love you,” he answered.

“Then please, do not do anything that will ruin the moment,” Charlotte pleaded.

“Het, shouldn’t you be telling this to your son?” Sebastian asked, slightly offended that Charlotte requested such a thing from him.

“If you mess this up,” Charlotte started, ignoring Sebastian's comment. “I won’t allow you to touch me or get intimate with me for two months,” she threatened.

“What?!” Sebastian exclaimed. “That’s not fair. Are you going to punish me again because of our son?” he cried out.

“I’ve done it before and I won’t hesitate to do it again if you mess up,'' Charlotte stated.

Sebastian bit his lips nervously. He knew Charlotte wasn't joking and that she would carry out her threat. The last time she did it was when she was angry at him for overworking the two heirs.

She slept in another room and didn’t allow him near her for over a month and that was the worst phase of his life.

In the end, his stubbornness caved in and they reached a compromise. And that was sending them away for two years.

“So make your choice. Either you behave or you don’t get to come near me," Charlotte said.

“The hell am I letting my son come between us,” Sebastian said. “But your condition cannot be one sided. You also have to make sure he behaves well.”

“My son is always at his best behavior,” Charlotte retorted.

Sebastian clutched his chest and groaned in pain.

“What’s wrong?” Charlotte asked and quickly rushed to his side.

“It hurts, my love,” Sebastian said.

“What’s hurting you? Should I call the doctor?!” Charlotte asked in fear.

“Seeing you love and defend another man hurts,” Sebastian answered.

“You fool, do you know how worried I was?” Charlotte asked as she started hitting Sebastian's shoulder in anger. He laughed at how cute she was and that even made her angrier.

“My love, as much as I am enjoying this, there are people waiting for us. And I want to teach that brat who is stealing you away from me a lesson,” Sebastian said referring to his son.
