Chapter 20: The "Great Time"

Ady's POV

"I am not afraid of you, Damon," I said. "Because I think there is a link between us. Just like with Jasper. He was linked to me with something I don't understand."

Damon frowned and said nothing. We just stood there and looked at each other like it was a scene from a movie. I have no idea what response he gave, but he was not pleased.

"If you are linked to me, you're in danger, Ady."

"Huh?" I said that I was a little bit disappointed.

To end the awkward moment between us, I kept going up the stairs, and he followed me, chasing me until we were both going up.

"C-can I ask a question?" I looked at Damon for a few seconds.

"What's it?"

"Do you prey on humans?" I ask. He didn't answer my question for a few seconds. "I've read many books about creatures like you. And to be honest, I'm very fond of people like you."

Damon smirked. "Why? Because of being hot and seductive?"
