Sneak Peak!

"Hey Freak!" I heard one of the guys call at me. I shut my eyes and took a breath, then continued on my way like nothing happened. "Hey, I'm talking to you." A hand landed on my shoulder and spun me around, pushing me against the lockers with a loud BANG!

"Can I help you?" I asked passively. I had hoped that he and his audience, that was starting to build, would just go away, but no such luck ever came to me.

“Yes, as a matter of fact, you can take your Freak-show-self and leave my school," He said and crossed his arms over his chest, jutting his chin out smugly.

"Not going to happen." I rolled my eyes at him.

"That's where you're wrong. You see, I don't like freaks… and this is My school. I. Want. You. Out,” He says slowly, as if I were dumb.

"Whatever." I mumbled and tried to push past him to leave.

"Hey," He shoved me back against the lockers, ”you don't walk away from me until I'm done with you." I sighed, closed my eyes and tried to not lose my patience. I guess he mistook that, for me being upset, or maybe he just wanted to make me angry. He starts sniggering along with his friends and poked me in the chest harshly. "Awe, you going to cry?"

People around him snickered and more people started to gather, trying to see what was going on. I ignored them and looked back up to the guy in front of me, watching his face as he taunted me. He wasn't much taller than me, though he was more bulky and built than I am. He swiped his blonde hair out of his eyes and looked back down at me, an evil smirk on his face as he continued on his taunting rant.

"Are you going to go cry to your mommy now? Hmm?" He snickered. "Oh that's right, you don't have a mommy.” My body suddenly went very still still at his words, then my eyes shot up towards him with a cold stare. "That's right, she's not here. She didn't want you."

"Not true." I mumbled. Although, I should have just kept my mouth shut because it only seemed to have added fuel to his fire.

"How do you know? She's not here is she? You're in a foster home aren't you?" He mocked in a sneer. "I bet you that this family didn't even want you, they probably just felt sorry for you." He says in fake sympathetic voice. "In fact, they're probably just waiting to send you back."

"Go away." I tell him, my eyes still narrowed at him. My heart was pounding hard in my chest, every thought in my head telling me to shut him up in any way possible. He doesn’t know you, he doesn’t know anything about you! I shouted to myself inside my head, trying to calm down in some way.

"In fact, I bet your new 'mommy' is as big of freak as you are! That's probably why you got adopted,” What he had said sparked a fire in me, pushing any calming thoughts I was having, out the window, and anger then took it’s place at full force. I could feel it shooting through veins as I tried to hold it back, though it was screaming at me to let it go.

"You shut your mouth." I growled out between my teeth.

"Oh, touched a nerve did I?" He laughed, so did his friends and a few others around us. “Yeah, I bet that the only reason she adopted you was because she wanted a bigger freak in the house than her. She's probably crazy, or a slut. Is she a slut Garret? I bet she's a little whore, huh?"

“You shut your mouth!” I shouted at him, my fist clenching at my sides. Before I knew it It, I let it slip and my fist collided with his face, knocking him backwards and onto his butt. But that wasn’t enough for me, I threw my binder down and tackled him to the floor, punching and kicking him, just as he seemed to be returning the favor. But I had the upper hand, and I had more hits on him than he did on me.

"Hey! Garret!" I heard a voice yell. Then suddenly, I'm being lifted off the jerk-face by my arms and I'm hauled up to my feet. I tried going after the brawny Jerk-face kid again, but I was being held back.

“Let me go! You don’t know what he said! let me go!” I shouted and struggled, trying to force my way to that jerk-face again, who was cowering backwards towards his group of friends.

"Garret, snap it of it!" The voice that was kept shouting at me finally clicked in my ears, causing me to stop my struggling. I turned my head and looked up at Nate with rueful eyes, my stomach in knots as I realized what I had just done.

"Am I in trouble?"
