Chapter 34

Elyana's POV

Before going home, Felicity bought all the medicines that I needed to drink and apply to my burns. He was giving me instructions while he was driving, but my mind was too occupied to save all the information he was telling me and he only stopped when his phone suddenly rang.

"Your Mom is calling," he informed me, which made me let out a heavy sigh before taking the phone with him to answer the call.

They already knew what happened, and that made me feel bad for making them worry. I failed again by proving that I was no longer a baby and that I could live by myself.

"H-how are you, my sweetheart? Is your skin still sore?" my Mom asked right after I said hello.

I heard Dad's voice from the background. He was saying something, but I couldn't understand what it was.

"I feel better now. I'm just going to heal my burns at home and go to a dermatologist to help me remove the scars," I replied.

"Glad to know, princess!" It was Dad who responded.
