68: The Unyielding Search

Asher’s POV

The woods were eerily silent as I led my men through the dense forest, the only sound being the occasional snap of a twig underfoot. We had been searching for Jonas for what felt like an eternity, the threat of the night crawlers ever-present in our minds.

His disappearance was a little strange as there was not a single trace of his scent anywhere. It was hard to tell in which direction he had even been taken. But one thing was certain, my brother was out there and I was determined to find him. I had no intention of leaving without him, whether dead or alive.

If he was dead, I would take back his remain and give him a proper burial but if he was alive, I would stop at nothing to take him home.

“Alpha,” Marcus called out, his voice low and urgent. “We’ve been at this for days and still no sign of him. What proof do we have that he is still alive?”
