"you're not going to eat, not in this house!
"You're going to go to whoever is responsible for the child you're carrying"
Taylor winced in pain.
The last two days had been stressful, her stepmother and step sister had been treating her like an outcast.
Her father too avoided and did not intervene in the case.
Taylor was dejected, she was hungry, and frustrated.
She had been dismissed from her workplace by her boss for refusing his sexual advances.
Taylor did not have anybody to run to, nobody to ask for help from.
She could not continue like this.
Not with the life growing inside of her.
How was she going to cope?
A knock on the door brought her back to reality.
She went to the door, an old lady smiled at her.
"Here's an invitation, my daughter left it, she's gone back to LA, can you go on her behalf? The woman smiled.
Taylor thought for a while.
"I.. can't.."
"Please" the old lady interrupted.
"There's no one I want to give it to, I could only think of you, it's a special ticket, please attend"
Taylor took the ticket, she smiled and thanked the old lady.
The old Lady lived next, and Taylor often helped her with Groceries.
She'd also gotten her some thoughtful gifts.
"I'll attend, thank you very much" Taylor smiled ignoring the pangs of hunger itching every part of her.
The old Lady left, Taylor stared at the ticket.
Her eyes widened, her mouth hunged open in shock as she opened it.
It was an invitation, a free ticket to the Dalmonte Elite Gathering!
No way.
What was happening?
Why was Fate playing games?
Zan Dalmonte was going to be there.
That stanger with curly hair, with preety eyes and lips, that deep voice that had lured her into this mess.
Taylor sighed.
She had two options, which were ,going to the party, meeting Zan Dalmonte, or staying home.
If she didn't attend, she'd wasted the Old lady's effort, her time, and the money her daughter spent on the ticket.
The tickets to the Dalmonte's Gathering was quite expensive, only wealthy people could afford the Tickets.
And Taylor was not going to waste it.
It was a good enough reason to go.
However she was not going to stay long at the event.
* * * * * *
By the time Taylor got to the Skyfall, it was already filled with people, they were well dressed and Taylor was concious of the dress she chose.
It was a simple curvy black gown.
The ladies at this event were beautifully dressed, diamond and gold necklaces, expensive gowns, handsome men dressed in tux of different colors.
Taylor would have asked Eilen to go with her, Eilen had travelled out to Paris to focus on her Art career.
The night Taylor got drunk was the last she'd seen Eilen.
She did not confide with Eilen about the night with Zan Dalmonte,
"Champagne?
The waiter's voice brought her back.
" No... no" she replied quickly, too quickly, and breathed in relief when the waiter walked away.
Taylor had not forgotten what she had gotten herself into due to a few drinks.
She had gotten drunk to forget Wade's and Amelia's betrayal, to forget the pain and it had gotten her into more pain.
She could not bring herself to think of the both of them.
Her boyfriend and her step sister betraying her in the worse way possible.
She steered her thoughts away from them to the presenter on stage.
Then she heard it.
A familiar tone.
Turning around, Taylor could not believe her eyes.
"Amelia?
Too late, the words were already out before she could stop herself.
Amelia turned, and the frown on her face told Taylor everything she needed to know.
"Who's she? do you know her?
Someone in the group of Amelia's new friends asked.
Amelia shaked her head.
" I don't know her"
Amelia furrowed her eyebrows, and turned to her friends.
Biting her lips, Taylor moved away from Amelia and her friends.
It was not surprising that Amelia was here, Amelia went out with big men and CEOs, they would have gotten her the tickets quite easily.
The voice of the presenter on stage, had everyone's attention including Taylor on the stage.
"In few minutes time" The voice of the presenter on stage, had everyone's attention including Taylor.
"The Diamond of the Dalmonte's family will stand before you"
Loud applause and cheers echoed from the crowd.
Everyone wanted to see him.
Taylor Could feel the nervous flutter at the thought of seeing the stranger again.
Except it was no longer a stranger.
It was Zan Dalmonte.
Her baby's father.
Her phone beeped, a text from Amelia.
Taylor ignored the text.
Another one came in.
"I'm in big trouble, I need your help, Skyfall's pool Area"
Taylor panicked as she read the text.
What was going on?
Taylor tried calling Amelia, the phone ringed and no one picked.
She was worried, mentally debating if to trust Amelia or not.
When the next text came in, Taylor had already made up her mind.
She was going to help Amelia.
Amelia was in big trouble!
"I'm sorry for everything, please help me"
As Taylor re read the text, she trembled.
She could not ignore, not when Amelia needed her help.
No matter the crimes she'd committed against Taylor, leaving her danger was the worst thing to do.
Taylor made her way to Skyfall's pool, her heart in her mouth.
As she got to the pool, it was chilly, there was no one in sight.
She was confused and angry.
She had fallen again for one of Amelia's prank.
She shaked her head, and turned, Amelia was standing right there in front of her with a smirk on her face.
Before Taylor could react, she was pushed and she fell backwards to one of the pools.
Screaming for help, Taylor struggled to swim.
"Help" Taylor screamed watching as Amelia friends came out, laughing and applauding her.
Taylor Could not believe it!
How could Amelia stoop this low?!
Taylor could not keep her head up, and she swallowed more and water.
She could no longer scream, only raise her hands hoping for someone to rescue her.
Her heart ached as she saw Amelia walking away.
Taylor was more concerned about her child's safety.
If anything happened to the child, she could not be able to forgive herself.
She was drowning, she was dying, she could no longer struggle.
Then she remembered her mother.
She remembered a memory she had forgotten...
This was it, it was sealed, she was married to Zan Dalmonte, one of the wealthiest biggest man in town.He was standing by her side, and they were doing this...Apparently no one knew what she'd gotten herself into, neither Amelia, her father or her mother knew what was going on.They only knew she was married. They didn't know she was here, that she'd signed the documents, that she was officially married to the hot curly Man of new York. She could almost imagine their reaction if they found out.She was not doing this out of convenience. She was doing this, cos there was no way out.If there has been some way to avoid this, she would have gladly taken it up.Taylor would have avoided going to the diamond bar, she would have stayed home. Now in this fix, the only consolation was that it was not real. She didn't know much about this man.Didn't know anything. The only thing they shared was the fact that he was her baby's father. He didn't want this, oh gosh, Taylor could not keep that
Zan was not sure how this could be a blessing, it could take up his time—messing up everything.Having a family? Raising a child? Falling in love?None of those things were for Zan Dalmonte, but however, he was trapped in it. ____________________________Arriving at the court, Zan Dalmonte was already having second thoughts.Taylor had kept her words, and they were both at the court, waiting to sign the paper that could bind them together forever.Zan couldn't wait for nine months, he wanted to get out of this as quickly as possible. He was anxious.Reminding himself that this was not a forever deal, he breathed more easily. He was commiting to the one thing he'd told himself he'd never do."Marriage"It seemed harmless but on the inside it was a ticking bomb....Despite the calm facade Taylor put on, she was worried too, this was not what she bargained for..She had big plans she wanted to work on and now it was all out of reach.Convincing herself that this could last for only a fe
You hate me right? You wanted me dead, you hate me so much, are you not satisfied, you've taken Wren, what more do you want from me?Taylor thought she saw a flicker of emotions in Amelia's eyes."I want everything that makes you happy" Taylor might have imagined whatever look of emotion she saw, right now there was no hint of emotion or remorse in those eyes. Taylor was tired of the constant fights, was tired of Amelia always trying to ruin her life.Amelia had taken everyone and verything that she liked ever since they were kids, and Taylor had forgiven her for it every single time, yet she was not satisfied. It was no news to Taylor that Amelia hated her but she did not think that Amelia would go to this extent of almost drowning her.She shuddered at the thought of what would have been if Zan hadn't showed up on time. The image of him , his wet curls, the leather jacket flashed in her head.Taylor pushed away the thoughts, her eyes on Amelia who was watching her curiously."What
Zan Dalmonte ran his hands over his curls, his eyes fixed on Taylor. There was a lot of things going through his mind all at once.He remembered, she was the one, the one he'd been looking for, she was here in front of him in a completely different state. He locked eyes with her, different emotions twirling all at once.If the case was different, he could never accept this, he didn't want a child nor a family, he would pay her off to take the child as far from him as possible. He wouldn't not in this state, his parents were concerned about an heir, he'd been through so much already, this Could shut them up.He could not make any rash decisions at the point. So he stared into her eyes*Will you marry me? He ask.The shock in her face, Zan was sure that she did not see this coming—apparently he'd taken her by suprise. Her eyes widened, Zan definitely had the upper hand, the ball was rolling in her courts."Do you want to marry me? " Do you really want....to ma....marry me? Taylor stamm
"This will take a few minutes ma'am" the nurse smiled warmly.Taylor was terrified..She did not want any of this, she wanted to be as far away from zan Dalmonte as quickly as possible."I..." Taylor was going to refuse the offer."I'm sorry, she won't take long, I need to make sure you're okay" Zan's eyes were on her again, that deep smooth voice once again keeping her on her toes.Taylor followed the nurse who led her to the comfy bed.Zan's eyes were on her, and Taylor was anxious as the nurse placed the sethoscope on her.Taylor closed her eyes."You're good to go" the nurse hunged the sethoscope on her neck."You should be more careful ma'am, especially in this condition""Is something wrong? Zan's eyes widened." No.... " Taylor started to speak but the nurse interrupted her." She's fine, the baby's fine too "Zan's eyes narrowed.Taylor moved away from those beautiful curious eyes.Well she had to leave now.She stood up and met his gaze."Thank you... I....""How much? He int
"There's something I want you to know, I feel like you should know this, it might help you in the future, it's really important"Little Taylor listened attentively, whatever her mother was dying to say felt really important.Turning her heart away from the children playing, she focused on her mother."When I was carrying you in my womb, a lot of things happened, a lot of people were against me giving birth to you.."Taylor did not understand. How would anyone not want a sweet beautiful girl like her.Nevertheless, she listened as her mother continued. "I chosed you over them, because I love you very much, I do not regret bringing you to this world."In life, there's a whole lot of choices, I can choose what to have and what not to, the most important thing is following your heart, even in the face of the most difficult choices, choose what your heart says, what your heart whispers to you" The moment Taylor opened her eyes. She saw him towering over her, a look of concern on his face
