“Mama!” Michelle called out as she ran into the kitchen and hugged Amelie’s legs.

It had been a Saturday that day, and Amelie had decided to make a famous croissants she saw in a restaurant, for them as breakfast.

“Elle, you’re up early, what about your brother?”

“Miguel’s still sleeping. He was up all night studying for the text on Monday.” She told her mother.

“And you?”

“I studied the day before.” Michelle told her mother, proudly knocking the top of her head to emphasize how smart she was.

Amelie chuckled and shook her head. “I see. Well you two should make it a habit of always waking up early. I won’t always be able to wake you two up.”

“Why’s that?”

“Because sometimes, even mommy gets tired and oversleeps.” Amelie informed as she began rolling the croissants into shape.

“Ah, that’s right. Even mommy is human.” Michelle mused and as if she had suddenly realized something, her eyes flew open. “Ah, that’s right! We can simply avoid that if we have uncle handsome here!"
