"Luna! Alpha! I apologise for interrupting your morning, but we have received an emergency report from the southern border." A young warrior ran towards us in the main corridor of the palace. He was breathing heavily, his face pale.

"A rogue attack. There are so many of them. We need reinforcements immediately."

Alpha Aric and I looked at each other. In an instant, we moved. The attack was sudden. The warriors on night duty reported hearing growling sounds and a foul smell before the rogue wave emerged from the mist-filled forest.

“Do you think they’re only targeting the southern border?” I asked softly, staring at the road stretching out beyond the vehicle’s window. My memory returned to the foul smell of death still lingering in my mind.

Don’t tell me that unpleasant smell has anything to do with the rogue attack right now?

Alpha Aric shook his head. “No, their objective doesn’t seem that small given their lar

  • Monster Luna Writes Her Own Destiny   Chapter 50 Self-Reflection

The morning air felt colder than usual. The gray sky hung low, as if harboring secrets yet to be revealed. Tavien waited for me in the palace courtyard, wearing a field cloak and high boots, ready for the long journey. He would accompany me for most of today's journey before returning to his other duties. Dew still clung to the leaves as we drove along in the patrol pack's light armored vehicle, its wheels cutting through the still-wet dirt path. I sat in the backseat with Tavien, while two guards sat up front with the driver. The vehicle moved steadily through the forest, though it occasionally had to slow down when crossing large tree roots protruding from the ground. It was my duty as Luna to maintain the pack’s stability—and this time, I was doing it for a slightly more personal reason. The foul smell I had detected yesterday still lingered in my memory. I couldn’t ignore it. That’s why I had gone out into the field myself, exploring e

The morning light slips through the cracks in the hallway curtains, forming golden lines that dance across the marble floor. The scent of damp earth from the palace garden, freshly watered the night before, slowly wafts through the air, mingling with the soft fragrance of lavender that lingers in the air. From afar, the sound of trickling fountains and the songs of small birds form a soothing natural symphony, as if breathing in peace. As usual, I return to my daily life as Luna. My days are never truly peaceful, but routine is the form of peace I cling to tightly. The palace is already bustling since dawn. Servants bustled about efficiently, the scent of herbal soup and toasted bread filling the air, while in the eastern courtyard, young warriors had begun their training.I donned a deep blue cloak embroidered with silver branches of a cedar tree—the symbol of Silvergrove—and adjusted the black hood that covered my face. With steady steps, I entered the

"What are you doing right now?"My question stuck in my throat as Alpha Kaelen bowed deeply, his knees touching the dusty ground between the quiet side streets. The bustling sounds of Moon Market slowly faded from my ears, replaced by the increasingly loud beating of my own heart. The morning breeze gently caressed my face, carrying the sweet scent of honey cake from the vendor's tent, as if urging me to stay calm.  "I came... not as Alpha today," he said softly, his voice heavier than usual. "I came as someone who has lost something precious—someone too foolish to understand when there was still time."  I restrained myself from sighing heavily. My hands clenched at the sides of my robe.  "You don't need to recite poetry in front of me, Alpha Kaelen. Just get to the point," I said flatly.  He lifted his face. There was a striking honesty there, unlike usual. No shield, no pride. Just an admission that laid bar

Lyara Wolfborne's POVTwo weeks after the opening of the Moon Market, the morning air felt different. There was an aroma of excitement and the hustle and bustle of life overflowing in every corner of the street, as if the whole world was waiting for a big surprise. The sky was clear with thin clouds drifting peacefully. The spring mist that usually hung low was beginning to dissipate, making way for sunlight to slip through the gaps between the leaves.“I’ll go down directly to see how my project is progressing. I’ve been waiting for this day for so long, after only imagining it through the various reports piling up on my desk.” A smile blossomed on her full lips.I stood on the palace balcony, watching the bustling servants moving about in the distance. “They’re full of energy. I need to be too!” Just as I raised one arm, a sharp pain shot through it.My body felt a bit heavy this morning. My eyes couldn’t lie—I hadn’t slept p

The sound of rain washing against the bedroom window was like a soft, endless lament. In the quiet, dimly lit room, breath hung suspended in the air. The tip of the silver knife was still pressed against her chest, and the hand holding it began to shake violently.“Goodbye, my second life.” Lyara closed her eyes. But before the silver knife could reach its target, a forceful push sent it flying. The sharp object was hurled far away, crashing into the side of the wardrobe with a piercing, heart-wrenching clang.“No… Lyara, no!”Alpha Aric stood there, his face filled with fear. His breath was labored from his hurried run, his eyes wide as he watched the woman he loved most nearly vanish from his life.  But Lyara didn’t give up. With her last ounce of strength, she tried to crawl toward the knife. Her hand reached out, but before she could grasp the handle, Alpha Aric’s body had already wrapped around her from behi
