Chapter 33:- Dead Body

I walked across the drenched grass that was sparkling with a ray of sunlight. A smile formed on my lips when I inhaled clean scents of mown grass and new leaves. Stepping up to the bench, I rubbed my arms and took a place on it. My eyes closed when I listened to birds singing. It had been a while since I enjoyed the morning.

But something was missing! My heart sank when my mind drifted to Luther. I didn’t know where he was and how he was doing. It had been two days since that incident, but I hadn’t seen him since that day. Pain gripped my chest when his last words echoed in my head.

‘What about my bleeding heart?’

Everything was going well between us until my brother. He had turned our life upside down. I had seen disappointment in Luther’s eyes. I disappointed him more than angry. And I knew he would never forgive me for this.

Does he love me?

“You’ll probably catch a cold if you stay here a few more minutes,” a voice said from behind me.
