Alpha Fauz walked in without looking at me.

His presence filled the room. Power followed him like a cloak. His aura pressed gently against my skin, making me bow.

Rya bowed and stepped out, closing the door behind her. Thank goodness, he didn't know about the letter.

Suddenly we were alone. I straightened unconsciously.

“My Alpha,” I greeted, lowering my head slightly.

He stood several steps away, but he was close enough for me to feel the warmth radiating from him.

“You caused quite a stir ton

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    The Cold Palace

Nora’s POVThe palace grounds thinned as we moved north. The familiar elegance of the central Pack lands gave way to older stone, mountainous terrain, quieter paths, and a stillness that did not belong to the rest of the pack. I walked between the guards in silence, my steps steady, my chin lifted, my pride the only thing keeping me from crumbling under the weight of it all. No chains bound my wrists. No one pushed me forward, and yet, I had never felt more like a prisoner.By the time the Cold Palace came into view, I understood why it had earned its name.It stood apart, not in ruin, not abandoned, but detached from everything that made the rest of the pack feel alive.Tall grey stone walls rose against the pale sky. Arched windows, high towers, and iron-wrought balconies, the structure itself was beautiful in a stark, unforgiving way, but there was no laughter here. No movement beyond the guards, no life, only watchfulness. My steps slowed slightly as we approached. The gates opene

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    I should not have let you leave like that

Fauz’s POVI pushed the door shut, and the sound echoed through the office. For several moments, I did not move. My hand remained on the handle, my fingers locked so tightly around the metal that the edges bit into my skin. The corridor beyond had already gone quiet. The guards had taken her. Nora was gone.I stared at the closed door as though I could still see her standing there, chin lifted in defiance, hurt burning in her eyes.“One day, Alpha Fauz, you will remember this moment clearly.”The words struck harder now than they had when she said them.Slowly, I released the handle and stepped back. The room felt different as though the air had thickened after she left.I turned away abruptly and walked toward the desk, but the moment my palms met the wood, memory crashed through me.Her face from the night before, her mouth parting in shock when I entered her chambers, her voice, my own hands on her. My jaw clenched. The memory was there, but in fragments.Heat, need, darkness, a d

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    One day, you will remember this moment clearly.

Nora's POVI did not cry after Alpha Fauz stormed out of my chambers.I sat on the edge of the bed for a long while, staring at the door he had just slammed behind him, trying to understand how the same night could leave two people with such different wounds. The sheets were still warm. His scent still clung to the room. My skin still remembered him. Yet the look he gave me when he woke up beside me had been nothing but fury. Not confusion. Not tenderness. Not even regret. Just anger so glaring that it cut deeper than any blade.I wrapped my arms around myself and lowered my head. What happened last night wasn't planned by me. I did not lure him. I didn't go to his chambers. He had come to mine half-dressed, burning with something wild and reckless, and though I had been angry with him, though I had wanted to resist the pull between us, he had looked so undone that all my anger melted. Perhaps that was my error and weakness. Now morning had fully broken, and with it came a terrible cl

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    Fire and Ice

Fauz's POV I woke up feeling warm, and for one brief moment, I did not open my eyes. I only lay there, half-drifting in the last fragile threads of sleep, aware of soft sheets, a faint floral rose scent, and the nearness of another body.I let my eyes open slowly. Morning light spilled through parted curtains in silvery streaks, falling across the bed in broken bands. I turned, but froze as I rammed into something soft.My breath caught as I beheld Nora. She was lying beside me. Her hair was spread across the pillow like dark silk, her face softened by sleep, though there were traces of strain even in her stillness. The blanket had slipped low enough to tell me all I needed to know without words. I could tell she was bare under the blanket. My gaze traced the lumps of clothes formed on the floor, they were my dress and hers. No!Fragments of the night came back in flashes. The festival, food, meat, wine, heat, confusion, an unbearable ache beneath my skin. I remembered leaving the f

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    Left to burn

Becca’s POVThe moment I entered my chambers, I slammed the door so hard the frame rattled. My chest rose and fell violently, my hands were still shaking. That foo! That wretched, impossible man. Can't he see me!?With a strangled cry, I seized the nearest vase and hurled it across the room. It shattered against the far wall, scattering shards over the floor, but the sound brought me no relief.I spun away, clutching at my half-loosened clothes, my breathing ragged with rage.I had almost won. I almost had him. The memory returned so vividly that I nearly trembled. He had been burning when we entered his bedchambers. His eyes were dark, breath rough, hands restless and desperate. The wine had softened his restraint, and the aphrodisiac scent I had worn had done the rest. Every look he gave me was wild, unfocused, and ravenous. He had wanted release, and for one glorious moment, I had believed that release would be me. I had led him in carefully, making it look as though he was the o

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    Claimed and mated

Nora's POVFauz pushed me roughly unto the bed. I didn't see it coming and I didn't resist. I fell flat on my back, my eyes blinking. Is this really happening? Or is this another sick joke? I remembered our first night in the mating chambers. His hand brushed down my shoulders and he tugged at my sleeve, roughly. Something wasn't right… he was too aggressive, I thought then the smell hit me hard, he was reeking alcohol.Too much wine, I bit down my lips disappointment flowing in like a river. How I wish he was here because he wanted me just as natural as it was for mates to long for each other. In no time, the heavy regalia that had once clung on my body was lying on the floor beside the bed. All that was covering my body were my panties and bra.Fauz’s hands gripped my shoulders aggressively. He pinned them against the bed and hoisted his face closer. Our lips were almost touching when he stopped. He took sharp and deep breath like he was savouring something. Seconds turned to minute

Nora’s POVA heavy breath escaped my lips as I walked out of the Alpha's office. Alpha Fauz's presence was stiffening. His aura was strong and with the mate bond tugging, it was harder to bear. What is he up to? He wants me to act like the Luna publicly without making me the Luna. He even wants me
