Chapter Eleven

The rest of the day went in a blur for Elena. She was annoyed to her bones and didn’t even focus on the rest of the class. She was the first to pick up her bag by the time they rang the bell, walking towards Matthew’s car and standing by the passenger seat. It made her look like she was picking up a fuss but she didn’t care. She was still the one in charge of this and the middleman for them becoming friends. When she is ready to let go of Matthew, she’ll leave him freely.

After a while, she saw Matthew approaching from afar with some of his other friends but Sarah wasn’t part.

“Hey..” he called out as he pressed the button of his car, unlocking it.

Elena didn’t even bother to answer him, pulling the car handle and entering in front of him. She slammed the door close in his face, immediately reaching out for her phone to connect the music to the car.

“What’s wrong with you?” Matthew asked as he entered.

“Nothing.” She replied, scrolling through her phone.
