ZEPHYR'S POV
“How could you!?” Celeste shouted. She and the rest of the pack members had found out about the rogue wolf who also happened to be my mate and they didn't take it well, especially Celeste. But what could they do, I was their alpha and they had to listen to me especially when it was matters about my mate. Celeste had followed me all the way from the training grounds to my office, she looked pissed and ready to explode. I knew this was not going to be easy. Celeste and I have known each other since we were still young pups. She was the first female I fell for and we were each other’s first of everything. Everyone knew of our relationship and they supported us, they saw her as the future Luna of our pack. Everything was going well until my parents passed away. My father passed away after suffering from a terrible sickness and my mother followed shortly from heartbreak. It was the worst time in my life but I had to be strong for the sake and survival of my pack. Celeste and Ronan were there with me helping me through tough times, but a few months after my mother passed away Celeste found her mate. His name was David Ocean, he was from a different pack but moved to our pack after meeting Celeste. Celeste was not happy about me letting her go just like that, but she later accepted it and got together with David. He was good to her and he loved her, everyone could see it. Two years after they got together David died. He had gone to a nearby river at the edge of our territory and he got attacked by two rogue wolves. Celeste was devastated, she barely ate and refused to speak to anyone. A couple of months later she was back to the Celeste everyone knew and loved. And she also tried getting back with me, but I could not do that. All my feelings for her had finished, I only saw her as someone I needed to protect because she was part of my pack. But Celeste was not the type to give up and she kept trying over and over again. On the day of my parents’ death anniversary I lost control of myself and we ended up sleeping together but that was all it was just sex without any meaning behind it. I was just looking for a way to let out my frustrations and pain. Ever since then we always had sex on my parents’ and her mate's death anniversaries. To me that was all it was, a way of getting unnecessary feeling out of our systems. “Celeste.” I said in a serious tone. “What, huh!? Celeste what!? You are keeping a rogue wolf in your house. A rogue Zephyr, a fucking rogue. What if she kills everyone here, huh. Then what would you do?” She screamed, her breathing was unstable and she paced up and down. “This has nothing to do with you. She is mine and nobody is going to tell me what to do with her.” I replied calmly, watching her acting crazy. She stopped in her tracks and faced me, her face was so flushed it looked like she was going to pass out. “Did you just say she's yours?” She shrieked, pulling at her hair. “Yes.” I replied nonchalantly. A look of disbelief clouded her face. “Zephyr, she is a rogue and you know what rogues do. They destroy things, steal, they break and they kill. They only bring misfortune and misery wherever they go. This girl, she is no exception. Just reject her and….” “Get out.” I said calmly. “What?” She asked. “Make use of the door and get out.” “Zephyr, are you kicking me out because of the thing in….” “Don't you dare. That woman is your future Luna, you and everyone in this pack shall speak of her with respect. Now get the fuck out before I cut off your tongue.” Her eyes glossed over with tears but I did not care. I was her Alpha and she had no right speaking to me in that manner or speaking about my mate that way. She sniffled and tears rolled down her cheeks. She slowly turned around and walked out. I let out a sigh before leaving the room. I headed upstairs to the room she was in. As soon as I got closer to her door, a citrusy and fresh scent hit me. It was her scent, it made goosebumps appear on my whole body. I knocked and then proceeded to unlock the door. I slowly opened the door and went inside. My eyes were met with cold brown eyes. She was seated on the bed in an oversized black t-shirt and black sweatpants, her legs were crossed as she glared at me.Her curly black hair was in a low ponytail. I sat on a chair across from the bed she was sitting on. She watched my every move like a hawk. “Hey.” I said watching her closely. “What do you want?” She replied aggressively. “Your name.” She rolled her eyes and bit her lips. I felt electricity moving through my veins. Her lips were nice and plum. I wanted to bite them too. I licked my lips and watched her teeth sink into her bottom lip. “Please tell me your name or I will just have to give you one myself.” I threatened. “Can you just let me leave this place? I don't want to be here, I crossed into your territory by mistake. So please let me go.” She said, I shook my head. “Tell me your name first and then I will consider it.” I lied through my teeth.I was not going to let her go anywhere. “Morrigan.” She whispered. “Who?” “Morrigan!” She shouted. I chuckled lightly, she was cute. “Beautiful name.” I said, she rolled her eyes and scoffed. “Sure, so can I go now?” She asked impatiently. “And where do you wanna go? I am your mate, don't you understand what that means. You and I are meant to be together for as long as we live.” I cringed at my own words. What was happening to me? Why was I saying all these things, all of a sudden. “Listen here Zephyr or whatever it is they call you, I am not interested in this whole thing. I just want to leave this place, you and I can never be.” She said, A frown formed on my face. “And why not?” “It's none of your business, just go ahead and reject me before things go too far. I have places to be and this was definitely not one of them.” She said nonchalantly. I felt my heart squeeze painfully. Reject her? Was she serious?MORRIGAN'S POV “I am not going to reject you.” He growled, sending a shiver down my spine. “Why? Why not?” I questioned desperately. I needed to get out of here and away from this man.“Because you're mine.”I opened and shut my mouth trying to think of ways to make him reject me or at least let me out. “If you do not let me go, I will kill every single person in your pack.” I threatened, praying and hoping I looked and sounded threatening enough. Before I could process what happened I was on my back. Zephyr straddled me, locking both my hands on my sides. “What are you trying to do! Get off me.” I struggled under him trying to get hit off of me.I panicked and my heart began thumping loudly. Was he going to rape me? I had been in a situation like this one too many times when I was still younger, when I wasn't strong yet but I had always gotten away. “You will do nothing of that sort. If you try it I will wrap you up in fucking wolfsbane and keep you locked up in here like a fuck
CELESTE'S POV: I angrily paced up and down. How could Zephyr do this to me? I had been there for him through thick and thin. How could he choose a disgusting rogue over me? “Why, why, why!” I yelled, angrily running my hands through my hair. How was it possible? Did she cast a spell on him? I mean there is absolutely no way Zephyr would fall for a rogue. Yes! That was probably it, I have to help him get rid of that dirty rogue. Only I can be the Luna of this pack and Zephyr's woman, only me and there is no way I was going to allow a dirty packless wolf take that away from me. I slowly began to calm down. I faced my mirror, a small smile graced my face as I began combing through my hair with my fingers. All I needed to do was get everyone in the pack to help me remove the spell that she put on him. If everyone is against it there is no way he would still be under her spell. “You've got this Celeste, everyone will side with you.” I fixed my hair and dress before going out. “Ro
ZEPHYR'S POV“Alpha that woman is a danger to all of us!” Celeste yelled. The other members nodded their heads in agreement.“She really is! Why are you keeping her here?” Someone yelled from the crowd.“Who knows what else she will do to us?” “This is the Alpha's business.” Ronan said, trying to calm them down. “The Alpha's business? This includes the whole pack. Everyone was affected by the howl that rogue let out.” Celeste argued. “We cannot keep her here, she needs to be killed before she kills all of us.”“Celeste!” Ronan growled. “What? Did I say anything wrong? Some of our pack members are in a coma because of that howl. We do not know if they will wake up or not! Alpha this is about the safety of your pack members!” She clapped back.Multiple voices erupted in agreement with her. I watched them in silence. Morrigan's howl had affected everyone in the pack except me. Was it because I was her mate? She was much more powerful than I thought, could I keep her here? I didn't
MORRIGAN'S POV: “For goodness sake stop following me,” I groaned. “I am not going anywhere.” She nodded her head but still continued to follow me. I let out a frustrated sigh and continued walking trying my best to ignore her. It had been two months and four days since I got here. I did not think I was going to be stuck here for so long. I wanted to escape, I desperately wanted to but I was afraid. Zephyr gave me a warning and I took it seriously, I didn't want to push him. What if I tried and I failed to escape? He really scared me a lot, but this mate bond was tugging at my feelings and emotions. He came to see me once in a while and sometimes he would sit across from me in silence, sometimes he tried talking to me but I just ignored him or ended up blowing up about him not letting me go. There were times I considered just accepting the bond but each time I did I remembered my parents. I didn't want to end up like my mother and father, my fear of the curse was bigger th

MORRIGAN'S POV “What's wrong?” Zephyr asked, looking me up and down. “Nothing.” I replied, running a hand through my hair. He got off the chair and walked over to where I was standing. My heart began pounding, the closer he got the faster it pounded. He stopped in front of me. “So you won't tell me?” I could smell his breath as it hit my face. I could feel goosebumps forming on my skin. Heat spread all over my body and I just wanted to pull him closer, but I knew better. I moved back, putting some distance between. “How can I tell you something, when there is nothing to tell?” He quirked a brow. “The fact that you're replying to me s…” “Just stop.” I cut him off. I didn't want to keep being in the same room as him, I didn't want to do something I would end up regretting. “Why do you do this to yourself? To us.” He asked, frustration evident In his voice. “Zephyr, I told you from the beginning how I felt. I don't want to be here but you keep me here against my will.”
CELESTE'S POV “Why don't you just let this go Celeste?” Mrs Montclair asked, earning a glare from me. How could she ask something so stupid. There was absolutely no way I was going to let it go. I spent days in the dungeon all because of that stupid rogue. “Do you want that thing to be your Luna instead?” I snarled. She shook her head and sighed. “I don't, no one in the pack wants that. But the Alpha is hell bent on keeping her here and we have to obey him.” “The Alpha is under her spell, he can't make important decisions like this on his own. We have to help him,” I whispered, taking her hand into mine. “Imagine what it will be like when everyone thanks and praises you for saving their alpha and pack from disaster.” She looked at me unsure, I offered her a smile and lightly nodded. “I am afraid of her. Yesterday she had a fight with the Alpha.” She bit her lip. “That disrespectful, mannerless piece of trash,” I cussed. I didn't understand why Zephyr was taking all this dis
MORRIGAN'S POV “Morrigan.” A distant voice whispered. “Morrigan.” The person said a bit louder. I turned my head left and right looking for the owner of the voice. I couldn't see where I was, the place was covered by a thick layer of fog. How did I get here? “Who are you?” I called into the fog. “You are so close child. Come to me.” The person said. I frowned, who the hell was this. Come to me, who? I put my hand in front of me and stumbled forward. It was as if my wolf senses were gone. “Look lady, I don't know who you are, but…” my sentence got cut off as I lost my footing and tumbled down into an ice cold body of water. I let out a pained scream. The water was so cold it felt like there were razors cutting into my body. “Wake up.” An all too familiar voice said, panic laced in his voice. My eyes shot open. The pain disappeared but the cold stayed. My whole body felt wet and weak. Zephyr was looking down at me with a cold look on his face but his eyes were saying some
I desperately followed her fading scent. My claws tore through the soil and leaves as I ran. My chest burned, lungs screaming. I wasn't fully healed yet but she was gone. How could she leave? Why? Was she planning to leave this whole time? Of course she was, after all I was the one who forced her to stay. I ran faster, harder, desperation clawing at my chest. I had to find her, I knew she was somewhere out there. I couldn't let her go, never. A desperate howl tore through my throat, stupidly hoping that she would answer my desperate call for her. But the silence that followed tormented me, I frantically turned my head looking again and again. Morrigan, where are you? Goddess please let me find her. I jumped over a large rock, her scent was stronger than before. I stopped in my tracks as my eyes locked on her. Her molten gold fur glistened under the sun. Relief surged through me. I took a step forward, a soft groan escaped from my throat. Finally I found her. But before
CELESTE'S POV I ran my hand over his beautiful face, a smile gracing my lips. Zephyr Dusk, this beautiful man. How could I let another have you? You were made for me and only me. I did so much just to be with you, so how could I let someone else have you. I ran a hand through my hair. I hadn't seen him like this in a very long time. Ever since David came into the picture, he never slept next to me again. I just kept hoping that he would, but he never did. After David's death I tried so hard just to get him to look at me again. All I got was his body but not his heart. But I didn't lose hope, because he allowed me close to him so I thought there was still a chance for him to open up and give me his heart once more, but then that bitch showed up. I clenched my jaw so tight that it ached. How could the moon Goddess do this to us. She separated us, we were meant to be together forever. She pulled us apart, why? I was supposed to be his mate and he was supposed to be mine. She
MORRIGAN'S POV “Why did you leave? You were so close to me.” The voice sounded distant this time. “Just leave me alone.” I muttered, my voice flat. A distant scoff rang through the fog and she repeated the question. “Why did you leave?” My shoulders sagged, I let out a weary sigh. I was exhausted even in my dreams. Leaving was harder than I thought, it took a big toll on me. I ran for three whole days without stopping. I didn't know how Zephyr was doing and that made my heart ache every single time I thought about the condition I left him in. The moment I stopped fatigue took over and I shut my eyes, but even in my dreams I couldn't catch a break. “Please just stop.” I begged, covering my eyes. “I cannot leave you alone. Go back to the Vile Fang pack.” She commanded. I ignored her words and sat down on the hard ground. I was never going back, never ever. This was for my and Zephyr's own good. If I didn't stay away, far away, we would both suffer. I missed him
CELESTE'S POV The screams and cries of my people were loud and haunting. What have I done? “Celeste I'm scared.” Yun whispered, staring at me with teary eyes. I hugged her tighter, she was shivering with fear. It struck me like lightning, swift and blinding. Malakai, that asshole had betrayed me. He used me as a way to get into the pack territory so he could attack us. I should have known better than to show him the way in. How could I be so stupid. Now, because of me so many people have died and so many more are still dying. No, no it's not my fault. This is all that bitch Morrigan's fault. If she had never come to this pack I wouldn't have made a stupid decision like that. It was all her fault that the Nightbane pack was attacking us, that the people were suffering and dying, that we were hiding here in fear. I hope she dies out there, a slow, terrible and painful death. She deserves it for all she has done to this pack. She has hurt us all. How could she do this to u
MORRIGAN'S POV I remember when I was young my mom always told me never to use soul howl if I couldn't control it. We never lived in places where there were other wolves so I never understood why. I was never one to stay out of trouble, i would always run around, sometimes going far from where my parents were. My mom always warned me about the dangers of the world, but I never listened. One day on one of my little fun runs I ran into a family of rogue wolves, it was just the same as ours. A father, a mother and their little son, hw was about the same age as me. “Are you lost?” The mother asked me, a soft expression on her face. The little boy hid behind her his bangs almost covering his whole face. I curiously stepped closer, the father growled at me. I jumped back in fear. “Don't scare her like that. It's ok honey, where are your parents?” The woman asked gently, touching his shoulder. He scowled and shrugged off her hand. “No I am not.” I replied, trying to get a closer look
ZEPHYR'S POV “Zephyr.” Morrigan whispered. I turned my head. What was she doing here!? She wasn't supposed to be out here, she was supposed to be in my house where it's safe. She stomped her foot down and a single stone floated up before hitting the ground. She let out violent coughs, her breathing was uneven and heavy. Sweat dripped down her face and she was barefoot. “What do we have here?” Malakai chuckled. He turned his head towards me with a smirk on his face. “The mate?” He slowly walked towards her. My protective instincts surged and I tried to stop him, but his pack members stopped me. I had never felt so useless in my life before. I was getting weaker and weaker. The pain was becoming unbearable. “She sure is pretty. I get why…..” he let out a loud purr. “D…don't you…..d…are touch her.” I groaned. “Shut up.” Malakai growled. I was always the strong one, the great leader, the unshakable and the shield, so how did I get here? My hands were bloody and trembling
MORRIGAN'S POV “Wake up.” She whispered. “What.” I groaned. Today the fog was thicker than usual. “Wake up!” She screamed close to my ear, I felt hands shove my body and I began falling. I shot up, gasping for air. My breath was uneven, my skin slick with sweat, the echo of the scream still rang in my ears. I aggressively rubbed my ears. The buzzing finally stopped. A chorus of loud howls erupted in a distance, wild and urgent. A warning, the howls were followed by a string of screams and cries. I shot out of the bed, tripping on the sheets. I scrambled to get up, my heart beating so fast. I looked out the window and what I saw were men, women and children running gigantic wolves chasing after them. I was frozen in my spot, was this a dream? Was I still dreaming? An elderly woman was dragged down midrun, she let out a loud scream and her cries were silenced under a savage bite. I watched in horror as a young wolf was struck down with vicious jaws. Screams
MORRIGAN'S POV “Nothing happened.” I said smoothly, not a single hitch in my voice. “What was up with the stones then? There is no way you were just doing it for fun.” Kierra argued. “As a matter of fact it was for fun.” The lie left my lips without any hesitation. “Oh come on, Morrigan. You and i both know thats not true.” She threw her hands up in frustration. “Why would I lie?” I asked with a faint smile on my face. “I don't know. I should be asking you that!” She exclaimed. “Kierra. What I said is the truth,” I replied lightly scratching my hair. “Let's change the subject or better yet go home and sleep.” She rolled her eyes. “Goddess, you're so……ugh.” She let out a loud groan. I watched her aggressively pace around the room. The moment she had walked in I knew what she wanted to ask about. Zephyr sent her to ask me about yesterday's incident. I wasn't gonna tell them anything, I didn't want Celeste coming at me harder than she already was. Now I wanted
ZEPHYR'S POV “The stones were levitating and rushing into your house. I have never seen anything like it, I was so scared.” Ralph said, squeezing his hands together. “And this happened yesterday?” I questioned. He nodded his head. “I didn't know who to tell because you and Beta Ronan were not around.” I clasped my hands together and nodded my head. “Did you see anything else?” “No, as soon as the stones began levitating I…..I ran away.” He bowed his head in shame. “Thank you for informing me Ralph,” I watched him quickly nod his head a proud smile on his face. “Who else knows about this?” “Nobody else, just me.” “Good. You can go. I will be sure to reward you for informing me.” As soon as he closed the door, I let out a loud sigh. What was she up to? “Ronan, come to my office.” I called. “Yes Alpha.” His voice echoed in my mind. A few minutes later he was in my office. “Something happened yesterday.” I said. “Something? What happened?” He questioned. “I just h
