Annelise's POV

Cold seeped though my clothes and into my body but I didn't even feel it because the kind of cold I felt was very far from the physical one.

He abruptly pushed me into the water, my hand met the granite ground for support so I wouldn't fall abruptly but it didn't stop my butts from making contact with the bare ground harshly.

I had thought the pregnancy result from the wedding day wasn't real when I got a pregnancy strip from the mall one day and got home to see just one pink line.

Besides, I wasn't seeing any other symptom of pregnancy, neither did my stomach protrude or anything, it was even more flat then before.

All those made me believe the pregnancy test from the mall more than the one from the hospital.

A car honking before me made me look up, tears brimmed up so much in my eyes that I couldn't see anything other than the silhouette of the car and the bright lights.

I had stayed in the water and rain for so long that it's now night, it was as though the world ar
