Christian is looking at me with the same anticipation and uncertainty that I'm feeling right now. We halt looking into each other's eyes. It takes me a while to process the whole thing.

"We're her parents, Chris", I shrug. "I don't even wanna justify others being her parents just with that 'biological' tag. You know that"
