"Tiffany, you'll be picking the kids today", I tell Tiffany when she comes into my room.

I watch her face in the mirror. She looks surprised. I ignore her reaction and focus on styling my hair.

"Ugh! You finally talked to me after two days?" She exclaims.

"I can't continue to do all this for longer, you know", I mutter.

I say nothing, only pass her a tight-lipped smile, grabbing the darkest shade of lipstick.
