Chapter 24 : Obsession

I rushed to the hospital as soon as Miss Nancy called me and told me that Chrisanna had fainted in school. I run across the corridor with my throbbing heart. Each time such an incident happens, I feel the fear of losing my daughter consuming me from the core.

It's not about her life only. But it's about her beautiful childhood which should be filled with happiness and memories, not with trauma and pain. She battles for every breath daily and it becomes hard for me to breathe.

I didn't tell Ivanna about Chrissie yet. I know she will be very angry with me if she gets to know I hid this from her. However, I could finally convince her to go back to her work. If she gets to know about Chrissie, she's gonna come rushing back.

I hope it's not serious. Otherwise, I'll have to tell her anyway.

As I reach the cabin, I find Miss Nancy standing outside.

"Is the doctor inside?" I huff after a non-stop rush from the office to here.

"Yes. Checking her out", she says.

I inhale deeply.
