Chapter 14: Escape from the head

Next morning, I woke up late as I did not have a sound sleep. I totally forgot that it was the most important day for me as we had to submit our research proposal inorder to get the ethical approval but I got late for my work. I woke up at 8:30 and I had to report to the department at 9:00. I quickly dressed up and did my hair and left in a hurry.

I reached the department by 9:20. I was afraid that if the head of the department found out that I was late, he would deduct points from my final assessment as I was still in training and needed good remarks from the research department in order to further apply for fellowship in the same hospital.

In order to avoid meeting the head of the department, I sneaked through the back gate of the department but I guess that day was not in my favor because as soon as I entered the gate, I spotted the head doing a monthly surv
