Chapter 17. Deep Kisses

Nathan immediately took Nina into his arms, and Nina burst into tears. Nathan and Uncle John were silent. They understood that Nina was now reeling from what had happened to her mother.

"Honey, don't be like this, I'm sure Mom doesn't want to see you sad," Nathan tried to persuade Nina.

"That's right, Nina. Katy is happy there, don't make her sad." There was a long sigh from Uncle John, and his eyes turned red. He no longer knew how to persuade Nina because he felt his heart in pieces; the pain was intense when Uncle John found that the friend he loved so much had left.

Uncle John patted Nina lightly on the shoulder; then the middle-aged man left Nina and Nathan; he was sure that the young man would be able to persuade and calm Nina because he did not know what to do.

Nathan let the girl cry in his arms; he stroked the girl affectionately, trying to provide peace. Everything was beyond his expectations; he planned a romantic dinner, but instead, it became sad like this.
