Darlington's POV

The following morning, I awoke feeling Amara still sleeping on me in bed. She rested her head beside me, still hugging me closely. I wanted to remove her hand and get out of bed, but not wanting to wake her up, I allowed her to continue sleeping.

Later, Amara stirred awake and was shocked to see that she had rested her head on me as if I were her pillow.

"Good morning, I am so sorry. When did you return last night? Why not put the pillow to separate us on the bed?" Amara asked, blushing.

I looked at her smiling face, not feeling like responding to her greeting since smiling with her would make me fall in love with her, and I don't want that.

"Hello, I mean, why didn't you put the pillow in between us last night? I remember holding the pillow. Who removed it?" Amara asked me, but I stood up and went to brush my teeth without responding to her.

Amara knocked on the bathroom door, and I knew she was daring me and testing my patience.
