Chapter 11

It has been one week since Amelia was discharged from the hospital. The bandage on her head had been removed and she could say that she had fully recovered.

Apart from Chloe and Peter, no one else had visited her. Chloe came almost every day and Peter would come once in a while. She was cooped up in her house and rarely went out. Since Axel came the day she was discharged, she has not heard from him again.

Today was her last check-up and she was currently sitting in the doctor’s office awaiting her medical report.

Chloe was by her side as always, munching on the watermelon that the doctor had given them.

“You really have some guts, don’t you?” Amelia asked, looking at her friend who was chewing like a squirrel.

“What?” Chloe looked at her with a confused gaze.

“How can you eat in a hospital like it is a restaurant? I can’t even breathe out loud with all the mixed smell of medicine, but look at you.”
