There existed in this world a kind of love that made you feel as though you had known each other forever, even though you had just met.

The moment he first laid eyes on Su Jianxi, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

A small smile curved Li Tingxiao’s lips.” You have to face it eventually. Jianxi, remember, we’re a married couple now.”

With that, he lowered his head and pressed his lips against hers, not caring what she thought.

This seemed to be the norm amongst married couples.

Once Li Tingxiao said that, Su Jianxi closed her eyes.

Just then, however, there was a knock on the door.

Su Jianxi had just steeled her heart to continue, but presently she froze and shuddered all over. She had no idea where she found the strength to do it, but she somehow pushed Li Tingxiao off the bed and onto the floor.

“There’s… There’s someone at the door.” Su Jianxi hurriedly straightened out her clothing, feeling as though they had been caught in the act.

Li Tingxiao had fallen onto the floor, and his misty eyes gradually began to clear. A dangerous aura surrounded his entire body.

He resisted the urge to kill someone and headed for the door.

“Brother Li, we just received a new case. It’s really good, and the client…” Xu Ran held up four fingers as he spike, but when he sensed that intense killing aura, his excited tone immediately wilted. “Big Bro… I didn’t do anything wrong, did I?”

As Xu Ran said that, his eyes ventured into the room. There was a faint fragrance in the air.

When he saw the woman’s legs, Xu Ran’s expression changed drastically.

“Let me explain, Big Bro! I didn’t mean to get in your way, I just came looking for you because I was too excited. I’ll get out of your hair now, toot sweet, ASAP.”

Xu Ran turned around to leave, but Li Tingxiao grabbed him by the clothes on his back.

“Call her Sis-in-law the next time you see her.”

“Sis… Sis-in-law?” Xu Ran was baffled, but Li Tingxiao just walked back into the room.

Suddenly, Xu Ran could see inside unhindered, and he clearly saw who Li Tingxiao meant by Sis-in-law.

It was as though thunder clapped down on his head, and lighting zapped him from head to toe!

“F*ck, I’m not seeing things, am I? Brother Li?”

“Do you wanna come in and talk to your Sis-in-law?” Li Tingxiao’s expression was cold, and Xu Ran shook his head vehemently.

“No no no, I’ll leave you and Sis-in-law to your very personal time. I’m getting outta here.”

After Xu Ran’s little interruption, the only atmosphere left in the room was nothing but awkwardness.

Su Jianxi sat on the edge of the bed, and when she saw Li Tingxiao approaching her, she could not help but shirk backward.

“I… I’m feeling a little hungry now, so I’ll go make some noodles.” When Li Tingxiao walked up to Su Jianxi, she immediately escaped to the kitchen like a mouse that had seen a cat.

Li Tingxiao was torn between anger and amusement at the way she was running from him. He knew it, he really had given her a scare.

Su Jianxi cooked two bowls of simple noodles, and the two of them sat at the table, eating their meal.

She had not cooked for a long time now, and just as she was enjoying her simple and peaceful meal, Shen Siming called her.

“Jianxi, are you really planning to fight Huanran for resources? I know we were in the wrong yesterday, but you shouldn’t be so stubborn either. Huanran has already paid for her mistakes, and she told me that you signed a contract with Heroic Emperor. You’re not suited for showbiz at all, so why do you have to be so rash? Cancel the contract, and I’ll pay the damages. Listen to me, and we’ll be just fine.”

Shen Siming sounded extremely cross over the phone.

“You’re not the one who gets to decide if I’m suited or not. If that’s the only reason you called, I’m hanging up now.”

Su Jianxi hung up on Shen Siming mercilessly. She found him extremely annoying.

Shen Siming tried to call a few more times again after that, and Su Jianxi simply blacklisted his number.

Li Tingxiao watched as all of this went down, but he did not say anything.

That man said his woman was not suited for showbiz, huh? Well, Li Tingxiao was going to see if anyone else dared to say that about the woman he was going to support!

After dinner, Su Jianxi leaned on the couch, playing with her phone.

She did not answer Shen Siming’s calls, but that did not prevent Shen Siming from trying to make her take the fall for Su Huanran.

Su Huanran’s team released a statement saying that the video of the conversation yesterday was altered, all so Su Jianxi could take Su Huanran down. As for why Su Jianxi was trying to bring Su Huanran down, that was simple. Su Jianxi had signed for Heroic Emperor and taken away Su Huanran’s leading heroine role.

As soon as they released that statement. Su Huanran’s rabid fans swarmed Su Jianxi’s Weibo with disgusting insults.

Just then, however, Sis Kimi sent Su Jianxi a message, saying that the paparazzi stalking Shen Siming and Su Huanran caught the two of them going into a hotel.
