Su Jianxi glanced at the woman’s back mildly before going back to her script.

However, before she could even finish that page, someone actually took her script away, and a large shadow loomed over the chair she was sitting in.

Su Jianxi raised her head and saw a handsome man with his hands over the chair, looking at her with a ghost of a smile. “You ruined my moment.”

The man had expressive eyes and a very melodious voice.

“I wouldn’t have done that if you weren’t so loud.”

Su Jianxi shrugged nonchalantly. “Give me the script back. I want to continue reading it.”

“Reading a script is boring. Shall we do something a tad more fun?” The man reached out his hand to grab Su Jianxi’s chin, and he purposely approached her as he spoke. The two of them were now extremely close to each other, as though they were about to kiss.

“I don’t like taking another’s sloppy seconds.” Just as Su Jianxi was about to shove the man away, he actually heard a scream from afar.

“Shen Jingxuan, you’re cheating on me with another woman again!”

Su Jianxi shoved the man away with an expression of disgust, but Shen Jingxuan looked utterly annoyed.

“What I do and who I do it with has nothing to do with you. Xia Duorao, why won’t you just buzz off already?”

Shen Jingxuan looked about close to losing it, as though he wanted to just pick up Su Jianxi and leave.

“You’re the seductress who’s been coming onto Jingxuan, right? I’ll make you pay today, and let’s see if you ever dare to try it again!”

The woman he called Xia Duorao simply grabbed one of Su Jianxi’s wrists with one hand and lifted her other hand, about to slap Su Jianxi across the face.

However, Su Jianxi reacted extremely quickly, stopping Xia Duorao before the hit landed. “Miss Xia, I think you’ve misunderstood something. I’m not the one fooling around with your man.”

As soon as Su Jianxi explained that, she pushed Xia Duorao away.

Although she had left showbiz for some time now, she had heard of Xia Duorao and Shen Jingxuan’s names.

One was the obstinate and unreasonable heiress of the Xia Family, and the other was a young hottie making waves right now.

Xia Duorao had fancied Shen Jingxuan from his debut up till today, whereas Shen Jingxuan cycled through women like they were disposable.

Xia Duorao was beyond mad at how Su Jianxi had pushed her away. “Does it only count if I catch you in the act? If I hadn’t come in time, you would’ve kissed her, you hussy!”

Xia Duorao did not believe Su Jianxi’s words at all. She only believed what she saw with her own eyes.

“Don’t embarrass me here.” Shen Jingxuan took Xia Duorao’s hand and dragged her away, while Su Jianxi massaged her temples. Her first day with the team was already this dramatic, so she had the feeling that her life here was not going to be all that peaceful.

“Looks like you’re just too charming, Mrs. Li.” Just as Su Jianxi wanted to pick up the script and continue reading, she actually heard Li Tingxiao’s voice behind her.

She hurriedly turned around and saw the man holding a lunchbox.

“Why are you here?”

“I just got done with work, and I remembered that Mrs. Li hadn’t eaten yet, so I thought I’d drop by.” Li Tingxiao placed the lunchbox on the table, and when Su Jianxi saw ‘Yang’s’ written on the intricate bag, her heart skipped a beat.

The lunchboxes from Yang’s were famously hard to buy. Even as the first miss of the Su Family, Su Jianxi had only eaten it once before, and that was five or six years ago.

“Hurry up and eat. It won’t taste good once it’s cold,” Li Tingxiao hurried her.

Su Jianxi nodded, but just then, she somehow heard Shen Siming’s voice as well. “Jianxi.”
