Abraham
"It's a complete loss for me, Abraham", Zakir leaned back to the couch, pushing the briefcase full of cash.
"Did you open the briefcase yet?", I grumbled, bending towards him. "Come on, Zakir. Open and look inside"
Zakir's eyebrows drew together as he held the briefcase.
"I hope there's no bomb inside", he lifted an eyebrow suspiciously as I smirked at him, taking a sip of the beer.
"Your father should have come here instead of you, Zakir. You're still behaving like a kid", I bent towards him, locking my fingers. He frowned, gazing at me.
I hated dealing with those kids who were afraid of my offers. He grumbled while looking at me and opened the briefcase. I smirked. I knew how to tackle these young adults. They couldn't tolerate a word that hurt their ego. Zakir was the son of my long time business rival who was trying to be a business partner after ending the long term enmity. However, his father Azaar wasn't willing to show up at my secret residence. Zakir was barely twenty years old.
"What's that?", he inquired, lifting a pouch full of colourful tablets. "Just a pouch? You said this is the value of our deal. This?"
"Do you know what's this?", I asked him and he shook his head in NO. I chuckled.
"Foxy methoxy. One of the strongest and powerful drugs in the world, banned in Albania. That single pouch costs half a million", I announced as he dropped the pouch, gazing at me in disbelief.
"Half a million?", his mouth fell open.
"Go and give it to your father. I have nothing to do with you anymore", I told him, finishing my drink. He kept looking at the pouch, trying to figure out what was so special in it.
"You may leave, Zakir", I raise my eyebrows, pointing towards the door. He threw me a cold look and signed his men to move.
"Thanks for having me here, Abraham", he proceeded with his hand. I shook hand with him, then he made his way towards the door with his men.
"Abraham!", Shabbir called me from the entrance as I looked up at him.
"How's going, Shabbir?", I passed him a smile and folded all the sheets from the table, handing them to the deputy.
"What are you doing here? Tell me that first", he exclaimed, reaching me out, screwed up his face.
"What?", I rolled my eyes, pouring another glass of beer as he grabbed my arm.
"What the fuck is going on, Bhai (brother)?", his expressions hardened.
"What?", I drew my eyebrows together, glancing at him.
"You called off the marriage with Shashank's granddaughter? Have you lost it?", he shrugged.
Somewhere I knew Shabbir was gonna react like that. That was why I hadn't notified him before taking the step.
"Yes", I answered firmly.
"But you weren't supposed to do that", he panted, throwing his hands abruptly. "This marriage was fixed. You didn't utter a single word against it for the last six months. What made you suddenly take this decision? Come on! Abraham, you're freaking me out"
Shabbir got on my nerves sometimes. I was a man of patience and I loved to do things in a frigid mind even if I was the most formidable man of Albania. It was not easy to burn the fire inside me which saved the lives of many. And no can could easily take the advantage of my outrage, I had never let anyone.
"Shabby, don't you think you shouldn't poke your nose in this matter? I mean it's personal", I grumbled.
"Personal? Are you forgetting that we don't have anything personal? Your marriage was no way near to personal", he munched his words.
"Behave!", I dabbed on his back with a smile. "Don't forget that I'm your boss"
I hated to do that. Reminding him that he was one of my deputies before he was my closest friend. His eyes wobbled and he drew back his gaze.
"Yeah, sorry for that", he growled. "I thought to remind you of the consequences. Shashankveer Mehta is not an easy man. You think he will let you go after what you did?", he snapped in distress.
"I can sense the concern but...."
Suddenly, the alarms started to ring. I and Shabbir gaped around the wagon and then looked at each other. Someone had tried to reach inside my quarter. One needed a special password to enter here unless the person would get caught while breaking into the quarter. Shabbir instructed the guards to check out the entrance and surroundings. In a moment, there was a hue and cry in my quarters. I was startled by this too.
That was the first time that the alarms made a noise inside my wagon. Nobody ever dared to make a way here. Who the fuck was that?
"Dang! Who dared to do this?", Shabbir grumbled. "But whoever this is, made a great mistake"
We could hear the sound of alarms and guards running here and there simultaneously. I cursed under my breathe. My blood shimmered for the first time after I entered this world. It shuddered me from the core in wrath, proving me wrong that there was no one who could take a risk to challenge me.
"Chief", one of the guards rushed to me, keeping his head down. "We found no one around"
"Then what's the alarm about?", I crushed my teeth, trying my best to grip on my wrath. There were more than three hundred guards occupied around the quarter and not a single fellow could spot the nonnative.
"Show me the CCTV footage. You guys are good for nothing", I shrugged, dragging myself towards the monitor room where a bunch of eyes were occupied. As I entered inside all of them stood up and made space for me to hop in. I rushed to the screens asked one of them to moderate.
"Rewind", I ordered him, placing my hands on the table, glueing my eyes to the screens. As he rewinded the clips, I roll my eyes at every screen.
There was no movement inside the wagon before seven minutes. I still had the patience to examine it well. Suddenly, my eyes moved to a screen that showed slight movement in the darkness. It was the footage of the front gate. Fuck! Who was that brat? He had the guts to break inside through the front gate. I focused on the screen and sensed him climb the big bar.
"Dang!", Shabbir snapped. "Who's that? He just climbed the bar? You have finally gotten someone who can give you the equal difficulty"
"Just shut the fuck up, Shabbir", I spat.
My focus became more intense when that fellow walked towards the doors in the red lights.
Really? I screamed into my mind as I saw the face of the fellow.
"It's a girl", one of the guards cried out, settling his pistol. "Chief, she is visible in the third wagon. We are going for the encounter"
I said nothing instead I raised my hand to stop them and moved my eyes to the next screen. She was wearing black all over, made a tight ponytail. I couldn't be wrong to recognise her. Soon the distress of my face changed into a wide smirk as she looked at the camera with her devasted eyes. I should've known that it was her. Only she had the guts to challenge me, no one else.
"You're smiling?", Shabbir jerked me. "See this. A girl. And guess what she is staring at the camera?", he exclaimed in disbelief. "What's happening?"
Nobody could recognise her in dimmed red light. However, I knew every detail of her face, how she glanced, how she walked, how her body looked like.
I said nothing in reply and made my way to my wagon again as all of them followed me.
In the middle of the wagon, I spotted her, I faced her back, examining her from head to toe. I must admit that she looked hotter in this than a stupid bridal attire.
"Who the.....", Shabbir strived to say something but I grabbed his arm.
Meanwhile, she turned around to me. Our gazes moulded with each other. Her ebony black eyes scorched like fire as her jaw shook.
"I'm impressed", I clapped while taking steady steps towards her. Her eyes were still burning at me. "And I'm not surprised", I chuckled, moulding my gaze with her. "It was expected only from you, Amayra Mehta"
"At least, I don't commit something unexpected like you, Abraham Harris", she clenched her teeth while speaking.
I was standing only half a feet away from her still I could feel the heat of her body. She never missed a chance to catch my eyes. I took two steps close to her as she looked down at my feet and again lifted her gaze.
"However, it could be dangerous. If I wasn't here, they would've slaughtered you right here", I said in a low tone.
"I am not afraid of these silly things", she gritted her teeth. Then the scent of lavender which I had sensed last night was enough to tease me.
"Why are you here?", I drew back and turned around, directly coming to the point. "Your grandfather has sent you, right? See, I have nothing to do with you. That alliance, that deal, everything was a part of business between me and Mr Mehta. Let him do his job and don't drag yourself here"
"Not everything is about your business, Abraham", she uttered in a cold-disappointed voice as I was forced to look at her. A teardrop shone in her eyes. "I'm not here to talk about your business, your world and my grandfather. I'm here to seek my answers. Those answers have nothing to do with your business. It's all about me, my emotions and the betrayal I got"
She faked a smile as her nostrils flared, drawing me thicker to her.
"Shabbir", I took his name while staring at Amayra.
"Sure", he uttered. "Everyone, move"
My wagon was vacated in just ten seconds. I stepped towards her until she was just an inch away from me and her warm breath touched my face. She had something captivating which forced me to get close to her.
"You have just five minutes", I cross my arms across myself.
AbrahamI didn't wait for her and turned around, dialling Erwan's number and walking towards the laptop. Smirking at the screen, I took footage and processed it.He picked it up after a long ring."Hey, Abraham. I was about to call you""Erwan. Can you check your inbox right now? There's something for you," I said and looked at Amayra. She looked confused. I cut the call right away and dumped the phone aside."What did you do?" She exclaimed. "Sent him the CCTV footage of the kitchen"Her mouth fell open in shock.
AmayraI couldn't sense myself for a while and moved my hand abruptly on my belly. My whole body got completely numb, sensing the blunder that was almost near to destroying our happiness in a second. I stood still, breathing heavily."Are you okay? Ha? Are you hit actually?" Abraham's hands came together, cupping my face as I nodded. His voice was shaking and he was scanning me well."I'm fine," I gulped. He pulled my wrist and took me in a deep embrace. We absorbed the moment, trying to handle the shock. What if he was not there? What if he didn't handle me?I would almost lose the most precious t
Amayra I climbed down the stairs. Abraham might have followed me but I didn't want him to come. He would stop me anyhow even if he was saying I could do anything to Eisha. He didn't know to what extent I could go for him. If I can get myself into a blast, if I can give my everything to him, I could do every fucking impossible thing for him. The living room was still filled with the lively voices of all. As I went there, I saw everyone except Eisha. I frowned and rolled my eyes. Did that bitch run away before I came? She better be. "Amayra!," Amelia called me, her eyes tense. "Where have you been? Where's bhaai? He left the conversation midway" "He's coming. Where's Eisha? Did she leave?," I gritted my teeth,
Amayra "You can't be serious", I mumbled, rolling my eyes, continued to scan his reactions well. I wanted him to tease me. He was teasing me! That was it. It's not true. He licked his lips, dropping his gaze, his grip around me was being tighter as if he wanted to hold me tight so that I didn't lash out. "It's true. She is working with me now", he lifted his guilty gaze at me, leaving me out of words. I wondered how to reach. Should I get mad or keep calm? My inside was churning out with the thought of him and Eisha being together. The flashes of that night came in front of me. She was so close to him. He was mumbling my name and attempting to kiss her, assuming her to be me. I couldn't forget the view when that bitch had touched his bare chest. The place, the man whom I could touch only! She fucking touched what was mine. What is mine! I squeezed my eyes shut to forget that damn view, clutching his arms tightly
Amayra "Well, the venue is awesome, aunty. A palace wedding. I can't believe it", Dhruv beamed. "I always wanted that palace to be the venue for my kid's wedding", mom smiled. They were seated, occupying the couch and looking at some venue photographs. "Oh! That means I'm also going to have my wedding here?", Amelia cracked up. "Only if the groom agrees", mom said. "And you still don't have a groom", Abraham laughed. "You'll have one soon", Eisha said, laughing with Abraham. Fucking hell! Was it a nightmare? It had to be. How dare she come to my house? And how dare she sit near him? My blood was blotching when I was gawking at Eisha and Abraham. And the fucking distance of two inches between them. Pathetic! A pathetic feeling! My nerves started to shake as I held the wall to have a balance on myself. "Amayra, you woke up?", mom's voice forced me to be normal and pa
Abraham Fucking shit! Was she serious? She gotta be kidding me. "Are you serious, Amelia?", I scowled at her. Amayra didn't speak. How would she? She was practising to be an ideal, shy girl nowadays? "Too serious, bhaai. Since it's an Indian Hindu tradition. We should include Amayra's culture too, right? At least, some rituals could be followed. So, mom asked her to stay in my room. It's not good to meet before the wedding", she said while whispering. I had nothing to say. I just looked at Amayra. She pressed her lips only. I would miss her. "Okay, leave", I shrugged. "I'll send her" "Aha! You'll take hours to send her. I don't believe you", Amelia said. I had nothing to do but frown at her. "Amelia, I'll change my clothes first. You go", Amayra said. I controlled my smile, looking down. "Sure. But come fast", Amelia left the room as I immediately grabbed Amayra's waist and smashed her against my
AbrahamHours passed since the last time I saw Amayra. It was completely my fault to stuck myself with the last client who could help me to get out of the shit. He was willing to be a partner for the same company that I left behind. I had to accept the money which Amayra offered me. I would not. But some points disturbed me.I wouldn't be relaxed at my own wedding. Tension would bring the hell out of me which would lead me to the situation where I might not focus on Amayra anymore when she needed me the most!I didn't know if I would be able to provide everything to our baby if things went wrong. She would be hurt if I didn't let her support me. She might blame herself and I didn't want her to ruin her health at that condition. But I was determined to fulfill all her dreams. I would do everything she wished for.I pressed the brake, reaching the cottage. It was already 7:05."Shit", I cursed under my breath, gawking at my wristwatch.
Abraham I was numb for a moment, gawking at her in disbelief, out of words. She was stammering and I could see how nervous she was. But more than her, I was feeling restless. I looked at the cheque again. "Where did you get so much money? I mean your company has been seized too", I mumbled, looking down, ignoring eye contact with her. I didn't know how she got to know about my problem but I was more concerned about her. What did she do to bring such a huge amount? "It's not from the company. I don't have anything that belongs to Shashankveer Mehta. His money, his property", she said. "I left them behind. But— this is all I had" I forced my eyes to look at her. She was looking away. Not at me. "My hard work of last sixteen years. I had an account where I used to save all I won from tournaments. Basically, I started earning more when I participated in the premier leagues. I had been the highest-paid athlete for five years and the amount was huge
Abraham I pushed my eyelids to open though I was still feeling sleepy. We came late last night and I couldn't help fucking her the entire night. A smile appeared on my face and I strived to hold her next to me. However, my hand couldn't reach her as I opened my eyes and didn't find her on the bed. Frowning, I sat up and rolled my eyes around while yawning. "Amayra", I called her. She didn't respond from any corner of the room. "Baby, are you in the washroom?" I walked into the washroom. She wasn't there too. She never woke up before me in the morning but today she was too quick and I didn't even know where she was. I came downstairs where Amelia and mom were discussing something, maybe about the wedding preparation. I saw Lily also sitting with them. "Good morning, bhaai", Amelia said with a smile. "Good morning. Where's Amayra?" "Amayra? She had left for the college early morning. Didn't she tell you?", mom said as I g
