~~Dahlia ~~

She looked at me like I’d just sprouted horns. That cool, unreadable stare made my skin itch.

“Listen,” she said, voice low and smooth, “I get it. You’re cute. You’re rich. And you’ve got a big imagination. But I don’t know you.”

My stomach dropped, and heat rushed up my neck. She was lying. She had to be lying. But before I could argue, she turned like she was just going to walk away, like I was nothing.

“Wait!” The word flew out of me sharper than I meant, desperate and stupid.

She stopped. Slowly, she turned back, her gaze cutting into me like she could see through my ribs.

And then she smiled. Not nice. Not kind. Not anything I could brace for. A slow, crooked smile that curled at the corner of her mouth like she’d just decided to ruin my life for sport.

“Cutie,” she drawled, and the word landed like a slap and a kiss all at once. “If I wait…” She let it hang in the air, her eyes dragging over me in a way that made my breath trip. “…will you let me kiss you?”

  • Mr. President Has A Baby Bump   Seventy-two

Third person POVThe heavy double doors of the Hale estate study slammed open with a bang, rattling the crystal decanter on the desk. Madam Hale swept in, her heels clicking like gunshots against the marble, her voice already pitched high with fury.“Richard! Do you know about this?”Behind the desk, Chairman Hale didn’t even glance up at first. He finished signing his name with a flourish before finally looking at her, his expression already tired. “Woman, do you have to yell every time you enter a room?”She stormed closer, brandishing a thick, embossed envelope like a weapon. “Don’t play dumb with me. I’m asking you do you know about the fact that the Fishers have given out wedding invitations for my son’s wedding? Next month?”“Yes.”Her mouth fell open, her fury spiking another octave. “Yes? Yes? Are you kidding me right now, Richard?” She slapped the invitation down on his desk so hard the crystal glass tipped, threatening to spill. “We can’t even find our children! Lena vanishe

~~Alex~~The silence was fragile, broken only by the soft rhythm of Jay’s breathing and the steady beep of the monitors. For one moment, it was just him and me no questions, no impossible truths, just the weight of his hand in mine. Then James’s voice cut through, low but edged with impatience. “I hate to break this sweet couple moment, Alex, but we don’t have the luxury of pretending everything’s fine.”My jaw clenched. I didn’t even turn toward him. “Not now, James.”He ignored me, stepping closer, his eyes flicking from Jay to me like I was the gatekeeper of some insane secret. “The pregnancy is highly unstable. The levels we found in his blood are volatile his hormones are fluctuating at a rate that doesn’t match natural gestation. His endocrine system is practically in chaos.”Jay’s fingers twitched against mine, weak but present, and I tightened my grip to keep him grounded.James exhaled sharply, his tone brisk, clinical. “He needs to be given access to anything his body craves

~~Alex~~James’s footsteps were almost gone when his voice cut back through the hallway, dragging me to a halt.“But wait a second… Alex.”I turned, jaw already tight. “What?”He was staring at me, his brows drawn low, like he’d just pieced something together. His voice dropped, rough with disbelief. “Isn’t Jay supposed to be getting married… to your sister? Don’t fucking lie to me, Alex. The wedding invitation landed on my desk a week ago.”The air froze between us. My parent already have the invitation cards printed…?For a moment, I said nothing. My pulse hammered in my throat, my fists flexing at my sides. Trust James to throw that knife right when my head was already splitting open.“Careful,” I murmured, each syllable cold, deliberate.James scoffed, eyes narrowing. “Careful? You drag me into a secret pregnancy straight out of a sci-fi novel, I nearly lose your—” he gestured sharply toward the OR doors “—your whatever Jay is to you, and now you want me to pretend I didn’t get an

~~Alex~~One minute, I was knee-deep in board meeting documents, numbers blurring together on the page. The next Jay’s scream ripped through the walls like something out of a nightmare.By the time I made it to the bedroom, I was staring at blood. Too much of it. Sheets, his hands, his stomach everything red. For a split second, I froze, because I don’t freeze. But then instinct kicked in, and all I could think was don’t let him die.I didn’t have the luxury of panic. I wrapped him in the duvet, scooped him up, and ran like hell.Non of my men was around because it past midnight and the rest are in search of Lena. The only person I trusted with this… the only one who’d keep his mouth shut, was James. My oldest friend, and the kind of doctor who knew how to bury secrets. If this got out. Jay’s condition, the babies. Lit would destroy him. And I couldn’t let that happen. Now, here I was, pacing outside the operating room door, every nerve in my body wired to the sound of machines and mu

~~Jay~~After a long day of unnecessary stress for my self and my babies I took a warm shower before going to bed only to wake up in pain… The pain hit like a knife twisting inside me.One second, I was dreaming something soft, something warm and the next I was choking on a scream, clutching my stomach like it was tearing itself open from the inside.“AHHHH!” My voice broke, raw and jagged, filling the room. The walls seemed to shake with the sound, and for a split second, I thought maybe this was it. Maybe I was dying. The door burst open. Alex wide-eyed, hair messy, shirt half-buttoned like he’d been working himself into the ground stood frozen at the threshold. “Jay?!” His voice cracked.I couldn’t even answer. The pain ripped through me again and I screamed louder, curling forward, shaking, my hands slick. Too slick. When Alex rushed to me, his face changed. His eyes went wide in horror. I followed his gaze down and touched my abdomen and he saw blood something I didn’t even notic

~~ Dahlia ~~The second I slammed my hotel room door shut, I bolted straight for the bathroom like a woman possessed. Not for the toilet, not for the shower… no. For the sink.I snatched my toothbrush like it was a weapon, slapped toothpaste on it like I was squeezing venom from a snake, and shoved it in my mouth.Scrub. Scrub. Scrub.“Oh my God, oh my GOD,” I garbled around foamy bubbles, staring at my own reflection like I was in a horror movie. “I’ve been assaulted. My lips have been… contaminated. I need bleach.“I brushed harder. My gums protested. I didn’t care. That lunatic literally just kissed me… almost tonguing her tongue down my throat.I rinsed. Spat. Rinsed again. Then went for round two, because clearly, bacteria from psycho-woman kisses required double treatment.Still not satisfied, I grabbed the mouthwash. Gargled so violently I almost choked. Spat. Looked at myself again. My lips were still red, a little swollen. Like proof. Evidence of the crime.I slapped my cheek
