Lucille nodded her head, took back the check and left without a back glance.

Gillian sighed and went to pay, after which she hailed a cab to their new apartment. Inferring that the environment and surroundings of their previous apartment wasn’t safe, Matthew managed to persuade Gillian to move into this new and luxury apartment that was near Knox’s school.

It was a six bedroom apartment, equipped with a huge living room and kitchen hence, Kirsten urged Klaire and her husband, Wilson to move in with Gillian and Knox.

Again under Matthew’s persuasion the couple moved in with Gillian. And then he gave Klaire and Wilson a job in one of his company subsidiaries just one bus ride away from the apartment.

One by one Gillian put away the items she bought in the supermarket. Just as she finished with her task, Knox arrived from school.

Knox was startled when Gillian hugged him tightly and kissed his cheeks. The last time Gillian hugged and kissed him like this was before the surgery.
