Come morning, the humiliation I felt was still fresh and I cringed every time I recalled how rudely I was rejected by Mr Young. Literature class is just a step away and with a last minute decision, I texted Ethan and pivoted my heels towards the opposite direction of the literature class. I knew I was being a coward, an oddball but getting rejected does that to you. Don't try this at home.

Chapter 13 Beauty Pageant Beauty pageant The words couldn't stop ringing in my head, I just wanted to wallow in peace because five hours ago, I was closing the chapter of my one-sided love with my English teacher. Added to that, Aunt Shirley new’s of Mark's arrival made me want to howl and cry for many hours. Aunt Shirley heels clicked on the marbled floor as she walked ahead of me, assessing the rows of clothes with her keen eyes. Chapter 14Mr Young sprang away from me like he had been burnt which would have been amusing if not for Aunt watching us in a very suspicious way, with her brow arched and lips tugging up slightly.“I thought you went for dessert so I was thinking of helping you. Chapter 15Mark disappeared inside my apartment, leaving his shoes scattered on the doorstep. Chapter 16TuesdayI regretted immensely, I shouldn't have gone out to parties last night. I couldn't follow the words that came out of Miss Smith's mouth, my head throbs painfully because Ethan,Mark and I were wasted just four hours ago. Coming to school hangover the next morning is the worst decision ever. I couldn't move my head because the motion makes me nauseous, Ethan is in the same condition as me. Chapter 17When Saturday rolled over slowly and painfully, Mark and I took the cab, runned across the streets of Boston, and showed up at the place where Aunt Shirley had informed us where we were to practice our dance. The first hours of learning the dance steps were a complete horror, one which I hated to even think about. Chapter 18“Mr Young!” I cringed at my voice, I wished it hadn't sounded so excited and gleeful, brimming with happiness.
