Chapter 19 Ambiguous

Violet looked around while holding the bottle of wine. She tried to find a way to slip away unnoticed.

After all, she hadn't come face to face with Carl earlier. He didn't have concrete evidence that she had stolen the wine, so she could deny it if she managed to escape.

Suddenly, Carl pressed a button. The big teacup Violet had been hiding in sprang into motion.

Violet dashed out, and Carl instinctively chased after her.

As they stepped into the elevator, Whitney pressed a button. Soon, the elevator ascended. Then, she cut off the power, leaving it stuck at the highest point.

Things were going more smoothly than she had anticipated. Whitney gave herself the victory sign. Then she walked back to her bedroom to continue sleeping.

The vast amusement park suddenly went dark. Only a few emergency lights were left on. Violet was still some distance away.

Facing the darkness, Violet instinctively wanted to get herself to a safe environment.
