Chapter Twenty One

Massimo’s POV

So far, everything had been going well. Adriana had been on her best behavior and was standing very quietly by my side.

I knew this setting would be new to her and so I had decided to go easy on her. However, I almost couldn't get my mind off her even as I spoke to my business partners because she was just so stunning, it was quite difficult to ignore her beauty.

It seemed like all my warnings to her had gone a long way because she just kept quiet throughout the entire time. For some odd reason, I actually wanted her to talk or at least make input in one way or the other but she didn’t. I worried me.

I also liked how she held my hand, squeezing it at intervals. It was almost as if she was reminding me of her presence whenever I was about to forget that she was here.
