Max’s POV

Charlie kept ahold of my hand as we moved through the woods, Kiwi dangled hopelessly from my shoulder, still muttering the same things over and over. The news of Damon being alive had really screwed her over.

As we walked Charlie shows me how good she has got at aiming with her balls of red mist, she also explains that some are just powerful enough to stun a person, others could take them down. She also talks about how she can teleport better and has more control over it.

I stop, almost dropping Kiwi “Why didn’t you teleport to me?”

She looks sheepish, a blush rising to her cheeks, “It wasn’t that simple, I had to take Kiwi with me everywhere”
