Their Ex

They were already waiting for us, standing around the dais as they watched us climb to it. I was feeling super nervous. My throat was dry, so parched that swallowing became too hard, extremely so. Mitch held my hand, pressing it gently. My actions might have told them how I felt.

I sighed, trying not to let my nerves take the best of me. Werewolves have a sixth sense. They could smell fear from miles away. The last thing I wanted was to have them pick on my anxiety. It might aid them in whatever they might wish to dish out to me.

I rested in my chair before my brothers did the same. Mitch didn't let go even as he sat down, and I was grateful for that. I needed contact more than anything else. It was soothing, letting me know they were with me through whatever might come our way.

The meeting started. They didn't delve into our mating like I thought they would. Mike spoke of the development and how he intended to extend our branch and unveil the pack to the human world.
