Chapter 28: Psycho

*** LEO’S POV***

I threw on grey sweatpants and a white vest while humming the melody of a song. I gin as I recall the conversation I had with my mate last night.

I felt so relieved after coming clean with her. My heart felt lighter, as if the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders. She also accepted me for who I am, which put my heart and mind at ease. Everything was much better between us. I was beaming from ear to ear and couldn’t help but feel giddy inside.

I never thought this would happen to me. That I will get to this point in my life. It felt amazing to have a caring and understanding woman by my side. Nora is my safe haven, my refuge, and the source of warmth that my soul yearns for.

I picked up my phone from the bedside locker and dialed her number.

"Where are you, little mate?" I asked in a husky voice when the call pushed through.

She giggles.

"Aww... someone is missing my presence already," she teased, putting a smile on my face.
