Chapter 31: She is now a Man

"Ethan, with everything going on, it is time you go back to work. You will have something to occupy yourself," she suggested and Ethan gave it a thought

"You are right mum," he acknowledged

"Your father already wanted you to manage his business. It will be good to take over and manage it in his absence," she added and Ethan nodded.

"Have you had dinner already?" she asked

"I don't feel like eating. I will be fine," he added

"I will have the servant send over some snacks. Not good to go to bed on an empty stomach," she proposed and Ethan accepted.

Mrs Carter exited the room and a few minutes later, there was a knock on Ethan's door. The servant entered with a tray which she placed on the table Ethan showed her and she exited the room.

Ethan just climbed into bed and tried to sleep without even looking at what was on the tray. Mrs Carter upon exiting Ethan's room went to the servant's quarters. She went to her husband's room and found Olivia reading him a book
