Sinopsis

Tragic Love

Bias

Scumbag

Mistress

Winning Back the Wife

Cheating

Melodramatic

The pair of pink diamonds I've had my eye on for the longest time is finally auctioned off for a staggering price. Outside the auction hall, the young woman who won the bid is talking sweetly to someone on the phone. "Babe, you really don't have to come all the way here. Margot will be with me, so I'm good… Okay, fine. Love you!" I watch her with slight envy. Those pink diamonds are supposed to be my fifth-anniversary wedding gift. Before the auction, I've called my husband, Gabriel Hudson, and asked if he could come with me. But he said it was a trivial matter and that I could handle the bidding myself. The woman was on the phone earlier, and from what I could make out, they're planning to have dinner together to celebrate. My rideshare arrives. I'm about to leave when the woman suddenly shouts excitedly, "Margot, over here!" I follow her gaze. The person approaching is none other than my housekeeper, Margot Lawrence.

Chapter 1
Thalia's POV"Oh, Mrs. Hudson. What are you doing out here?" my housekeeper, Margot Lawrence, asked with a start. "I thought you said you were waiting for Mr. Hudson to come pick you up."The young woman smiled brightly. "I'm going to wait for him right here. Keep me company, Margot!"I stood less than 15 feet away, completely forgetting about my rideshare.Mrs. Hudson, huh?Gabriel Hudson and I had been married for five years, yet Margot had never once addressed me by that title. The household staff had always read between the lines and called me "Ms. Jensen" instead, making me sound like a guest who happened to be staying in my own home. Now, I knew why. The real lady of the house was standing right there. While they waited, the woman slipped the pink diamond ring she had won onto her finger. She had taken off the ring that was already there. The moment I saw the ring she had removed, my hands began to tremble. Gabriel had given me that ring for our anniversary last year.T

Thalia's POV"Her name is Camille Sawyer. She's a college student."At the cafe, Margot studied my expression before speaking carefully. "She hasn't actually been with Mr. Hudson for that long. It was probably just the novelty… Ms. Jensen, we really didn't mean to keep this from you."I watched Margot sit on pins and needles. I took a sip of my coffee and said nothing.I knew exactly what she was worried about. This wasn't the first time Gabriel had cheated on me, nor was it the first time I had caught him.The last time something like this happened was during our first year of marriage. Back then, he hadn't completely settled down yet, and I was still young and proud. The moment I found out, I made sure everyone in our social circle knew.I smashed every piece of furniture in the house and fired every member of the household staff who had helped cover for him. No matter how much they begged for forgiveness, I refused to hear them out.I even shoved them away and screamed until

Thalia's POVThe pink diamond caught the light, throwing a blinding glare. The ring was way too small, and it looked tight on Gabriel's finger. Even so, he forced it all the way on.My stomach churned. I pushed him away and rushed into the bathroom, vomiting until there was nothing left in me.Gabriel hurried in behind me and gently patted my back. "What's wrong, Thalia? Are you sick?"I shook my head and pulled away from his touch. He stared at his empty hand for a second, caught off guard. The next moment, his phone rang. As soon as he saw the name on the screen, his expression softened."Get some rest, Thalia. I need to take care of some work."With that, he rushed off without any regard for me.When I came out of the bathroom, Gabriel was still on the balcony. Now and then, I could hear a soft laugh drifting in.Just then, my best friend, Susanne Montclair, called. She laughed, sounding envious. "So, how's your anniversary going? Must be ridiculously romantic, huh? I saw

Thalia's POVWhat Gabriel had really meant was, "It's not worth it to build one for you.""I actually came across the plans you designed by chance," Camille said. "I thought they were really good. All I did was ask once, and Gabriel agreed immediately. He told me he'd give me anything I wanted, as long as I was happy."Her eyes crinkled into a smile as she deliberately turned her hand to flash the pink diamond at me. "Even this ring. It's one of a kind."I looked at her smug face and smiled back. "Bragging about being someone's mistress is also a one-of-a-kind personality trait."Camille's smile froze. The next second, as if she had noticed something, her eyes began to water. "Ms. Jensen, why would you say something like that about me…"Almost instantly, someone forcefully shoved me away. My lower abdomen slammed into the corner of the table, knocking the wind out of me.When I looked up, I was met with Gabriel's stormy gaze. "Thalia, what on earth are you doing here?"Gabriel

Thalia's POVBack then, right in front of the courthouse, Gabriel suddenly dropped to his knees in front of me. He had cried and begged me to ask for anything I wanted, so long as I didn't divorce him.He had begged me to give him one last chance.A year ago, he had taken Camille to ride the carousel I had dreamed of riding for years. Today, he was protecting the same woman by announcing to everyone that I was the unwanted woman.Marriage had always been Gabriel's one absolute boundary. But for Camille, he crossed it without a second thought."Thalia, I'm only going to say this one last time," he said icily. "Apologize to Camille."Gabriel's voice pulled me back to reality. I looked at him, at Camille, and at the cameras pointed at me. They all looked at me with disgust and contempt.Accepting my fate, I nodded with a smile. "I'm sorry, Ms. Sawyer. This was my fault."The apology wasn't for her. It was me admitting defeat on behalf of the old me who had loved Gabriel for five

Thalia's POVBefore the plane took off, I pressed the power button and switched off my phone. The moment the screen darkened, Gabriel's messages disappeared with it, like a ritual finally completed.I leaned in my seat as the lights on the tarmac slipped past the window, one by one, faster and blurrier with every second. At last, I was leaving this city behind. The crushing pain I had expected never came. Instead, I felt a light sense of relief, as if I had finally dropped a burden I had carried for five years.I rested my head against the window and slowly exhaled.Above the clouds, the setting sun painted the sky in molten gold. It was beautiful.I thought of my honeymoon with Gabriel five years ago, when he held my hand on the plane and promised he would take me somewhere new every year.Eventually, that promise, like so many others, was forgotten.By the time the plane landed, it was already late.At the arrivals gate, a figure jumped and waved frantically at me, her pony

Thalia's POVSusanne made me laugh so hard I couldn't stop smiling. We talked for hours that night—about college, where we were now, her hopeless ex-boyfriend, and my not-so-dependable ex-husband.She asked if I regretted anything. I thought about it for a while before answering, "I don't regret loving him. What I do regret is forgiving him."She fell silent. "I'm glad you've come to terms with it.""I have," I said. "I always have. I just couldn't let him go before."At 3:00 am, Susanne fell asleep against my shoulder, with the architect's profile still open on the tablet. I pulled a blanket over her and looked out at the unfamiliar city lights. For the first time in five years, I felt like I could breathe freely.…Third-Person POVWhen Gabriel received the message from Thalia Jensen, he was at Camille's apartment. His phone buzzed. He opened it without much thought, but the moment he read the content, his brow slowly furrowed. It was a divorce agreement.Every detail had

Third-Person POVWhenever Gabriel and Thalia argued, she either stayed at her relatives' place for a few days or took a trip with Susanne. Eventually, a few days later, she would come back on her own.The longest they had ever gone without speaking was ten days. Even then, she was the one who broke the silence."Gabriel, don't you miss me?" she had asked. He did, but he never said it. He didn't think there was any need. In his mind, that was something she should've already known. This time, Gabriel decided to wait for Thalia to calm down. One way or another, she would come home on her own.As for the statement, he decided not to release it yet. Camille had only just calmed down, and if he went public with his relationship with Thalia now, he was afraid it might upset her again.Besides, Thalia had waited for him for five years. Surely, a few more days wouldn't matter. One day passed. Then two, then five. There was still no word from Thalia.Gabriel started checking his phone m

Third-Person POVThe bar was filled with pounding music and hazy, shifting lights.Gabriel pushed through the crowd and spotted Thalia immediately. She was sitting on a barstool, wearing a little black dress he had never seen before, her hair cascading loosely over her shoulders.A man was sitting beside her, leaning close to whisper something in her ear. They were both smiling. Two glasses sat on the table. Hers was pink. The anxiety that had been holding Gabriel hostage for eight days finally spiraled into something ugly. He stormed over, grabbed the man by the collar, and drove his fist into the man's face. With a heavy thud, the man and his chair went crashing to the floor. The music drowned out the startled screams as the crowd scattered, leaving a clear space around them."Stay away from my woman."Gabriel's voice was low, so low that only the man on the floor could hear him. The man covered his face and stared up at him, startled and confused. "Who the hell are you, you s

Thalia's POVI nodded. "Fine. I'll file for divorce, then."I took Susanne's hand and walked around Gabriel toward the door. As I passed him, he reached out and grabbed my wrist. His grip wasn't hard. If anything, his hand was trembling. It was nothing like the way he had held me that day at the bookstore, where he strongly defended Camille. Back then, it felt like my wrist was about to be crushed."Thalia," he muttered hoarsely, "I messed up."I stood there without turning around. It had taken him five years to realize he had messed up terribly. Unfortunately, even time could erode my longing for the things I once desired. In this case, I didn't need his remorse anymore.I pried his hand away and walked out of the bar without looking back.…Susanne spent the entire cab ride cursing Gabriel. She called him shameless, crazy, and reckless for showing up at the bar and starting a fight. Then, all of a sudden, she went quiet and turned to look at me. "Thalia, if you want to cry,
