MERE ARGUMENT

  ( Alexander’s POV)

       I woke up stirred awake. My body ached in the most satisfying way, a reminder of the night before. I stretched lazily as my fingers grazed the soft skin beside me.

    

   I watched as she slept soundly beside me, I had just found out that I always wanted to appear wherever she is,but this night was not willingly. I had been tricked by the heiress of the Brooke's family, she invited me for dinner and with my mum pestering me, I had to give in since it was just a dinner, little did I know that she had a plan in mind .She spite my drink in order to sleep with me, get pregnant obviously and pin the pregnancy on me which will later lead to a successful arranged marriage. 

    I had always admired a relationship where love was the foundation and it wasn't forced. I wasn't even in need of it until someone catches my attention.  

I glanced at her , her dark hair sprawled across the pillow as I watched her turning here and there on the bed. I stood up as I  searched around the room I noticed a file on the table with “ Xan's Agency” written boldly on it. I was surprised to see it. 

   “Was she auditioning for an actress role?”. I asked my self  as I pondered on what I just saw, I was overwhelmed. Maybe it was destined for us to meet. I know by now she would not what to see me anymore but fate has it's way of bringing people together. “ Who says there is no light at the end of the tunnel?There is light for me and her and I'll make sure of it. I murmured only to my hearing as to not wake her. 

   I decided to leave a short note for her stating how sweet she was last night and how I enjoyed myself. I know this note was is going to irritate her in a way, but I enjoy her temper anyways.

   She was a hot temptress that I do not want to trade. I'll make her mine no matter what it takes I'll keep on showing in her direction until she pays attention to me. I don't know why but all of a sudden I just started feeling this way towards this little kitten . It was like I was just drawn to her ever since I saw her at that store where she bumped into me I'd always taken a liking to her. I've always wondered what made her look disheveled that night but I couldn't bring myself to understand why she was so broken or why she looked so broken but I promised to fix the pieces of her broken world together. 

   As I stomped out of the room carefully as to not wake her from a beautiful sleep.

      I had to leave the country this morning for an important meeting and my heart aches for no reason to see that she will wake up this morning without seeing the stranger she meant last night. it was her first time. 

    I shoved those thoughts behind me as I focused on the big deal, since we were bound to cross path anytime soon.

    In a certain villa, Alice and Robert came home after a long walk with the baby. They seemed a little exhausted from the walk and decided to have dinner. Robert seemed out of place after his word with Irene that late afternoon, but he knew she was just throwing a tantrum. Where could she possibly go to. She was penniless and under his care by all means, which states that she must imbibe by his rules and listen to whatever he says. Just then Alice voice jolted him out of his thought. 

       “I’m famished darling, the baby is starving and hungry” she said as she pouted her lips in the most amusing way. 

     “ Food should be ready by now, Mrs Eva would be done with it anytime soon”. He said clearly famished also as they both sat down on the dinning table. 

     “ Have you forgotten? Mrs Eva doesn't stay around for weekends and Irene gets to cook the dishes”. 

     “ Oh, and why has she not made the dishes?” he said slightly angry. 

     “ I don't know, maybe she's angry because you scolded her about the apology and now she wants to punish us with this” Alice replied feigning innocence as she folded her hands. 

     “ Is she that petty to let a baby starve because of a mere argument” he said rolling his hands into a ball fist. Alice smirked at the sudden change of mood. It's time for Irene to live a horrible life also, she had always had the spotlight where ever she went. Seeing the man who once cherished her going up against her right now made Alice beamed with an unusual happiness. 

    “Irene….. Irene”. He yelled at the top of his voice as he sounded very angry, but there was no answer. 

    He walked into the kitchen to check the pot, but it was all empty inside and it didn't seem like it has been touched because all the utensils were all dry. 

     “ What is going on?” 

   “ I think she's really upset this time Robert, I.. I just want her to forgive me, I… I'm just trying to explain to her that it wasn't my fault that we loved each other. I… I..” 

     “ Hey, hey none of it is your fault okay . I love you and our child and that's on me not her. Don't try to ask her for forgiveness okay, it's you who deserves an apology, you have a frail and innocent heart, you wouldn't hurt anyone for no reason and me loving you is not your fault either okay” he reassured her as he hugged her dearly.

     After calming the scheming Alice down, he walked upstairs to Irene's room as he stood in front of the door with a gloomy expression. 

    “ Irene, I'm giving you a chance to come out and explain yourself right now”.A long silence followed after and with a loud bang he pushed the door open without warning, but what followed after was a big shock. The room was empty with no belongings of Irene. 

     “ Was she serious about leaving? Did she despise him so much that she left?”. 

    Alice wondered why there was no argument after the bang and decided to check what was happening.
