Raising her head up, her eyes met with a very dangerous gaze , came out of the store and interrupted her reply she shivered at the sight of this person

“I'm asking if you can see clearly?” this time his forehead. slightly twitched

“I'm so sorry it was a mistake, I... I really am” she replied trying to leave his presence as soon as possible

“Do you think sorry is enough for what you've done uh... little kitten?” he said with a wry smile that looked so creepy.

“ I..... I don't know how i —”

Just then Alexander's assistant came “I've carried out the order, it's how you want it to be boss ” he said

Irene felt like it was a perfect opportunity to escape this dangerous man she just met, he seemed very creepy

“Oh! runaway little kitten do you really think I wouldn't know if you slipped off ” he muttered and looked in the direction she ran to before a wicked devasting smile appeared on his charming face

Charles — “dumbstrucked”, What is happening? his boss is having a conversation with a random stranger and smiling at that, he was suppose to be happy but he immediately felt pity for that lady cause this smile was a dangerous one. he signed and opened the car door for his boss

Inside the car Charles looked at his boss from time to time through the rearview mirror then he cleared his throat just before he could say anything his boss beat him to it.

“What's the next thing Charles? ”

“Uh... oh yeah... umm you're going for a dinner date with Miss Scarlett from the Brooke's family” noticing the frown from his boss he quickly added

“Your mom prepared the list, she said you can't turn down this one , it's a very close friend of her's and that the daughter is pretty good she's hoping you'll like her and save her some face”.

“Let's get going then”

His mom was very difficult atimes to reason with,she has always been urging him to settle down and it became worse when the media started spreading rumors that he might probably have a liking to his own gender.

Charles let out a sign of relief after hearing his boss reply , why did he have to be entangled with family drama, One was his boss and the other was his boss mother it's like he's stuck in between the two but he loves his job more with that he drove a little bit faster.

Alexander's mind drifted back to the little kitten he came across, she looked disheveled and unkept but her beauty was undenied, her pitiful face made his heart ached. “This is weird” he thought then shoved it aside.

Irene ran and looked back to notice that the black car and the scary man was gone

“Phew! that was close, how can someone's aura be so intimidating and to think that I apologized” she muttered under her breath rolling her eyes. Just then she noticed that she had really walked a long distance from a place she once called home, with that she hailed a taxi and went back.

She held the knob of the door and decided to go inside but was unwilling, the cool breeze swept through her face drying up the tears in her welling eyes, the scent of a wet ground and movement of the wind through trees. Everything seemed bland to her, there was no sense of warmth anymore, her heart ached continuously

“ Where have you been? Where did you go?” Robert said opening the door simultaneously with her

“It shouldn't be your concern, Why do you care!!”she barged into the sitting room heading upstairs to her room

“Why shouldn't I care, you live under my roof miss Incase you've forgotten, I'm taking responsibilities for you so I have the right”

Irene stopped abruptly and looked at the man she once loved but now it was filled with absolute hatred, she had the urge to revenge.

“What are you driving at?”

“You should obey the rules of this house, you can't come in and go out as you like if you'd like to continue living in this house”

“You really are something, I'm not your prisoner to obey those rules, do I look like a child to you?”

“Oh darling remember you don't have anywhere to go and this is me being gracious and kind to you at a platter of gold”

“You think so?” Irene said and walked up to him smiling wryly then in a low voice she said

“ I made and brought you to this height, what makes you think that I cannot also bring myself to this height, it might be rough but I'm very patient and I'll have my best laugh in the end”. With that she left for her room leaving the upset Robert in the sitting room.

Irene sat on her bed and let out a loud sign of pain, she let the tears flow down freely but quickly comported herself. This man whom she had always loved stabbed her heart at the peak of his success, she cleaned her tears and comforted her self to get up from this mess she created without caution, re-strategizing herself and how to get back on her feet—it'll not be an easy journey but at this point she was willing to try anything and take her revenge in a grand style, with that she slept hoping for the next day to emerge.

The next morning Irene woke up feeling lighter and energetic, she grabbed her phone and search for a number on her call log. it's been long she contacted this person and pondered if it'll go through luckily there was a voice of surprise and excitement from the receiver's end.

“Hello!!!”

“ Hi, Olivia how are you doing?”

“ I'm doing great, how have you been?.... You just left the industry like that without any prior notice leaving both I and your fans lonely” the other end said pouting her lips with a sad expression

“We miss you” and a long silence followed after.

“ Okay enough of the emotions, How about we meet and catch up on some things and I have something important to say to you it can't be discussed on phone” she said smiling halfway

“What?, Meet up I'd be glad too !” the other end replied filled with unspeakable excitement.

“Alright!Where are we meeting up?”

“Choose a secluded place without crowd and text me the address”.

“Will do that right away”. then she hung up

Not long after there was a notification pop up which was the address— with that Irene bath and dressed up to leave. she wore a cream colour sweatshirt,a black trouser and a comfy sneakers.
