Stepping out of the room Irene was looking more dashing than ever, she was about to walk out of the door when the aunt who cooks called her.

“Madam aren't you eating breakfast?, the food is ready ma'am and master would join us soon”

Irene stopped abruptly looking at the aunt with a smile and said.

“ I won't be eating breakfast, I would be eating out and please I'll love to address something I'm not the madam of the house”

“But mada.....—”

“She's correct, you would get to know the madam soon, serve the dishes I'm hungry” Robert chipped in while coming from the stairs, the cook was shocked but did as was told immediately though she pondered on who the new madam is. Irene didn't bother looking and just headed straight out.

Robert looked at the back profile that was leaving and for some reason he was feeling guilty but just then his phone rang and the caller ID was Alice so he pushed the thoughts aside.

In no time Irene got to the location and headed to the seat number with her mask on. it was a local restaurant at the countryside, everybody was clearly going about their business so she felt safe. The restaurant was a rented building but was well furnished one could see the perfect view of the bussling street from the glass , table of two for couples and the paintings of the room giving a variant atmosphere. The restaurant was more popular during seasons like Christmas and other festive season.

Irene sat down, ordered water and pressed her phone to pass time. she decided to check the entertainment news just then she heard olive's voice

“ I'm so sorry for the delay...... I had to deal with one of my artist and you know how it is” she said smiling while taking her seat.

“Have you been here for long? I sincerely apologize”

“ No, I just came in not too long ago also, so don't feel bad” Irene replied holding her hands.

“You didn't order anything, or you've had breakfast?”

“No I've not, let's order, I'll have chicken and waffles ”

“ i'll have the same” so they called the waitress and they were attended to right away

“How have you been now? I'm so surprised you called”

“ I've been doing excellently well just that I have —” the food arrived and they dug into their breakfast as they continued their conversation.

“ I want to come back to the entertainment industry ” Irene said looking at olive with a smile

“ Oh!....Oh my... Ohh that is..... that's great news I'm so happy we and your fans have hopefully waited and prayed— Yes this is good news” she exclaimed

“ So how's your comeback going to be like?, What's prompting you to come back or should the headlines say the lost iconic actress is back ” she said and they both laugh heartily.

“You were at the peak of your success when you just decided to stop, there were so many endorsement and opportunities but you just left, stayed out of entertainment like your presence was never there” Olivia said looking gloomy

“Right, I'm so sorry I'm coming back now okay, that's why I need your help”

“ Yeah, coming back is one thing but I want you to know that the entertainment industry is not like before, it's been long you left and right now the industry is more vicious than ever” Olivia replied with a voice clearly stating disaster and warning.

“The entertainment industry has always been dirty Olivia, now what I need is a company to sign me I don't know if you have an idea, the couple of ones I've searched for are not taking auditions anymore”

“This things work by influence now but since you've been acting it should be a little bit bearable since you know your way around but you need to brace yourself ”

“ There are two agency's that are taking auditions but it's not easy to get signed up there” Olivia looked at Irene and heaved a sign

“ Xan Agency and Star Agency...... Xan Agency just came in about two years ago but they've been on top of the entertainment industry, if you get signed up by Xan Agency you would love it , the contract and all the benefits for actors and actresses.....Gosh! and of course you know Star Agency it has been the best before Xan Agency took over and it is stars agency current competitor”

“ Whoop! So what are you suggesting?”

“ That you try star Agency now cause it's easier than the other one, there is a chance that you'll get signed up than the latter”

“Alright, I'll take your word for it”

“I miss being your manager though, your acting skills brought me this level of fame, now I manage majorly A-list actresses” Olivia said with a voice filled with thanks and admiration.

“That's true, I could remember when we both started it wasn't easy but here you are I'm super proud of you” Irene said with her face beaming with smile.

Just then Olivia's phone rang , recognizing the caller she stood up immediately

“ I'll need to head out before you , my actress is having a shoot this morning and I'm not supposed to be late we'll see some other time and update me on your auditions, I'll treat you to a meal next time” she said grinning and walked out of the restaurant in a steady pace.

Irene looked into the distance and chuckled Olivia have not really changed , she had always looked at her as her younger sister from another mother, that girl of then has turned into a confident young lady , she was really grateful to the stars for being part of her success and growth with that she stood up, paid for the meal and went out heading home, she needed to put some things in order.

Few days later she went to get her necessities and followed Olivia's advise as stated and waited patiently for the companies reply.

On reaching home she met a shocking scene. Alice her supposed best friend was sitting in the sitting room having the time of her life as though nothing happened, there was no form of remorse, Irene had decided to turn a blind eye to the act of her best friend until she's able to handle the level of betrayal just then Alice looked at her direction and spoke.

“ Oh you're back?”
