LOGINALINA
An excited laugh spilled past my lips as I twirled to the beat of the music, my hips swayed in rotating movements, my hands stuck in the thick tresses of my hair. I had never done this before, and I absolutely loved the wildness that came with the atmosphere. The erratic beat of the music coupled with the layers of alcohol that burned in my bloodstream left me feeling ecstatic. Thirst beat at my throat and I walked back to the bar I was perched at as soon as the current music came to an end. As soon as I pulled onto the stool in front of the bar, a glass of water was placed in front of me alongside a plate of nuts and a glass of cocktail. I raised a brow at the bartender and he inclined his head upward. "The gentleman in blue wanted me to give you these. Says they're courtesy of your angelic looks, and incredible dance moves." He looked like he was used to seeing things like this, but his eyes still held amusement. I raised my head and found a pair of very piercing blue eyes looking back at me. He tipped his glass in the air, a silent salute. My lips stretched in a smile and I returned the gesture, lifting the glass of water to my lips immediately after. "Is that what I think it is?" Tatiana's voice came from behind me. I was still smiling when I turned to face her, heat in my cheeks and neck. "A handsome man bought me a drink if that's what you're thinking." "Ouu... someone's already getting all the male attention. Good thing I didn't bring you along earlier, I wouldn't have stood any chance against your charms." A deep laugh traveled out of my belly and spilled into the air. "Oh, please." I sobered up. "Thank you for bringing me, I don't have time to think about what I've just gone through right now." Tatiana rolled her eyes and grabbed a handful of peanuts that she immediately started munching on. "You're not distracted or drunk enough if you can still remember that." "Huh?" She leaned against me as I took a sip from the delicious cocktail I had been gifted. "Do you know what could get your head completely out of your misery even if just for tonight?" I had an idea what she was going to say, but I shook my head regardless. "No. What?" "Finish up that drink, and if he buys you another, go say hi." She took one look at the expression on my face and forged on. "Girl, he's in the VIP section. If anybody can make you forget, it's him. Go for it." "And what is it that I am supposed to help you forget?" A deep baritone with a slight English accent hit me and I froze. Heat traveled down my spine and settled between my thighs. "Oh, hello handsome." Tatiana practically purred at the man behind us. I turned to face him and my eyes almost popped out of their sockets. My chin definitely hit the floor with a loud bang. Damn, this man was magnificent! Piercing blues locked on mine from behind almond shaped eyes, high brows with black hair just above it. His face was utter perfection. Sharp jawline that looked like it was carved in granite and hollow cheeks that didn't look sunken, a small pair of lips that were just thick enough to be kissable... "I take it that my appearance measures up to your expectations?" The amused voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I shook my head. A smile graced my cheeks. If the tailor-made suit that hugged his muscled frame was any indication, then this was definitely a man of class. "Do you want us to go somewhere private?" Tatiana choked on a cough that I completely ignored, and the man in front of me beamed and extended an open palm. "Be my guest." ******** The door clicked closed as he kicked it shut and his mouth was on mine in the next instant. My body was buzzing with alcohol and awareness, every touch from him sending me into overdrive. I moaned loudly when his thumbs swiped against my pebbled nipples through the fabric of my small dress. Was I drunk? Absolutely. And I loved every second of it. The dress made a small pool at my feet as he pushed it off my shoulders and down to the floor, an appreciative groan leaving his mouth. A confidence I hadn't felt in so long swarmed me and I giggled. "You like?" His eyes trailed up from my small mounds to lock on mine. "I love." My back arched as his head dropped, lips latching onto each peak like a starving man at a fountain. I cried out in pleasure as he lavished each one with kisses, tongue swiping over the sensitive buds and teeth grazing them in hot bites that sent all the liquid in my body rushing south. By the time his fingers reached between my parted thighs to find my lace panties soaking wet, I was already shaking with pleasure. The wall suddenly was unable to keep me upright. As if sensing my distress, he ripped the dainty fabric off me and lifted me off the floor. My back hit the soft mattress and I stared longingly at him as he made slow work of stripping out of his expensive attire. My center throbbed, desire and passion the only presence in the room. I licked my lips slowly, index finger bent in slow invitation for him to come hither. My boldness descending from places that have never before existed. He obliged me, after rolling the latex glove over his throbbing length. I couldn't decide whether to watch his eyes as they darkened with desire, or the way his fingers flexed over his rigid member, slowly gliding the protective gear over it. I giggled at the absurdity of my thought and his lips quirked. "I hope you'd still have the voice to laugh when we're done." A response wasn't forthcoming, because before I could open my mouth, he was leaning over me, and my overzealous southgate was already struggling to take in the man that pushed in slowly. A cry tore from my throat as he sank all the way in. Goodness gracious! ********* "You look properly fucked." Tatiana commented as I walked out of the nurses changing room now clad in my own uniform. My fingers smoothed over the fabric of the scrubs. "Hey! We're in a work place." My voice was an urgent whisper. She planted her arms on her hips and leveled me with a glare. "And we wouldn't have been if someone hadn't panicked over getting laid." I rubbed at my temples. "Don't. Okay?" "Don't what, Lina? That man looked like sin wrapped in Irish cream and white velvet." She exhaled a harsh breath. "Damn, girl! I would totally have copped that if he hadn't been so interested in you." My eyes rolled. "Oh, please. Coming from the same woman who turned down all forms of male attention last night?" "That was only because none of them looked as good as he did." "Whatever you say. I'm going to get acquainted with work." Her snickers rang behind me as I hurried away. "You're leaving your guide and supervisor behind." "Well, get a move on it." There was a smile on my face as I walked in the direction of the emergency unit, but it died a quick death when a familiar voice cut through the air with anger. "I said I need a care nurse for my grandfather, and I'd only take one from the emergency unit." Another nurse stepped forward with a smile, her chest puffed up for his eyes as she spoke in a placating voice. "We understand, Mr. Murphy. I will gladly take on the responsibility of your grandfather's well-being if that’s okay with you. I have tons of experience with surgery aftercare and elderly patients." He opened his mouth to respond, but then his eyes landed on me, frozen in the corner with an amused Tatiana behind me. "Looks like your lover found you," my best friend, who I really hated in this moment, whispered into my ears. I had only caught his first name last night. Theon. And I had panicked after getting the most intense orgasm of my life, so much so that I packed up and ran out before he even came out of the bathroom. Theon's eyes swirled with rage as he watched me. His left index finger lifted in my direction. "I want her to do it." Oh shit!Hello, amazing readers. If you've read this far, it's because you believe this story has potential. THEONMy whole world was hazy. I was moving on nothing more than agitation and a fear that was so profound it would completely numb me if I let it. The beeping of machines that connected to Ava made my head pound, a sick feeling twisting my stomach every time I glanced at her – her frail frame, her pale skin. She looked on the brink of something dark.I shook my head to clear the thoughts that were traveling through my mind at the speed of light. One thing was certain, the woman I loved was in the hands of the same psycho who had tried to kill us both the last time we had seen him.Questions swam their way through my kind. How had he gotten to L.A so quickly and… how did he even know where to find them? Didn’t Aaron say he was just granted bail pending trial? How then had he escaped house arrest to…?All thought ground to a quick halt. There was no possible way Bryon could be in L.A, that meant one of two things. He was either bluffing – which really wasn’t his style – or he was pulli
ALINATerror coursed through me at the sound of the voice that came from the other room. Was that who I thought it was? But how? How had they…?Hold up. Was this part of their plan? Could she be a part of this disgusting scheme to get…?The thought was brought to an abrupt halt as Mandy strolled in, a gun swinging from her index finger and a sinister smile playing on her lips.“Guess who brought you company?” she giggled.I rolled my eyes, pushing the lump in my throat that sprang there as fear for Theon grew inside my chest. “For someone who’s so obsessed with having a child for the man she loves, you’re being awfully careless in your state.”“What are you? My doctor?”The tone was meant to carry sarcasm, but it missed its mark, given that I actually was a trained nurse.“Uhm… yeah. I am a trained nurse, Mandy.”Her face transformed into one of anger and then she held the gun the right way, pointing it in my direction as she glared at me.“It might be fun to kill a killjoy. Want me t
