Chapter Thirteen - It's possible to feel betrayed, even without a reason...
Driving back to the office, Mike reflected on what just happened at Liza’s place. He honestly couldn’t believe he almost had his way with her, in her living room, and on the carpet of all things.
He would like to think he would have put a stop to things before it went further, but he honestly couldn’t deceive himself. He knew he was beyond redemption immediately he put his mouth on Liza’s honey pot to taste.
How she tasted like Heaven and chocolate, he never wanted to stop. Stop he did! Because for a reason, she decided to freeze him off. And no matter how much he wanted to pretend, Mike just couldn’t pretend it didn’t hurt. If he should allow himself to ponder on what he’s feeling, then he would say it’s something close to betrayal and sadness.
The sadness he could understand. Who would not be sad after tasting heaven and getting turned down? Of course he was sad.
