Freya’s Pov

Dane ran upstairs to put on clothes. I waited in the living room. My heart was beating very fast. Every few seconds, someone from the pack walked by and stared at me with big, curious eyes.

The news was going around quick.

“Freya!”

Evie came running in the front door. She almost fell. Her eyes were huge.

“Is it true? You and Dane...” She grabbed my arms. “I saw you holding hands! I saw him almost naked! What is going on?”

“It is… hard to explain.”

“Hard to explain?” She shook me a little. “You were holding hands with the Alpha while he had almost no clothes. That is not hard, that is a big sign!”

Before I could say more, Henry came in behind her. He looked calm, but I saw questions in his eyes.

“Dane told me to bring everyone to Dad’s study,” he said. “Marcus and Catherine are already there.”

My tummy turned over. “Everyone?”

“Just family. Close family.” Henry smiled soft. “Whatever this is, Freya, I am happy. Dane has been sad for weeks.”

“Sad?”
