35. The Assistant

"You know you don't have to flaunt your thing, right? I get that he's madly in love with you." The voluptuous assistant said as she kept her eyes on my engagement ring.

"Elsie, thank you for helping me out."

It was one of that mid-week office madness. My new PA decided that it's a good time for him to have a meltdown and be the drama queen and leave me to my office affairs. He was my third PA after Kayleigh, and I'm not sure I'll be getting her replacement anytime soon.

That morning Elsie had been helping me out because Tyler was out on a meeting across town and won't be coming in until later that afternoon. He was attending another big emergency after Larry decided to have a day off probably having his sexual adventures with one of his women.

"Thank you again, for helping me out."

"It's the least I can do after what happened to you."
