Maribelle’s Point of View

I bit my nail nervously as I stared at Liliana. What happened to her? Why does it feel like she’s changed? She wasn’t like this before.

She used to agree with everything I said without question. I glanced at Gerald, who was also looking at Liliana.

"Gerald."

He turned to me. "What is it?"

"I think something possessed her. It’s like there’s someone else living inside her now. One moment, she was the Liliana we knew, and the next... she’s completely different."

Gerald smiled slightly, still watching Liliana with a furrowed brow.

"I think I’m starting to like her now—"

I elbowed him gently, and he clutched his stomach where I hit him.

"Don’t you dare forget our deal."

He frowned. "We’ll talk later."

I turned away and went back to my seat, clenching my fists as I stared at Liliana again.

Liliana’s Point of ViewMy eyes widened as I looked at Asher’s parents. Without thinking, I quickly covered my face, and Asher pulled me into a hug. Oh my God—he actually wanted this to happen! How could he be enjoying this so much?“Mom, why did you bring that camera?” he asked.“To make memories. Oh my God! This angle is so good!” his mom said, obviously delighted as she kept filming.I slowly peeked out from behind my hands. Oh no.“Baby Liliana, don’t be shy,” his mom cooed. Then she suddenly hugged me, which completely caught me off guard.“You better get used to this. This is how Mom is. She’s always wanted a daughter,” Asher whispered beside me.“Baby Liliana, don’t be shy with me,” his mom said again, her voice full of warmth. “I heard your grandparents were the only ones left with you. From now on, treat me like your mom, and treat my husband like your dad. We're a family now.”I froze at her words, biting my lip as tears welled up in my eyes. I had always dreamed of having a

Nice, Jack. “What the hell! Jack!” “Sorry, Mirabelle. Nandidito kasi ang Boss natin. Hello, Boss.” Napatingin naman sila kay Asher at agad naman silang napatayo at ganun na din ako at yumuko ng kaunti. Nakikita ko na pinauna niyang pinapunta ang mga kasamahan niya sa VIP room. “Hmm… I didn't know you guys eat here." "Yes, Sir, our friend Gerald treated us." Dahan dahan naman siyang napatingin kay Gerald. “You’re generous, Mr?” Tumayo naman si Gerald at lumapit kay As

Liliana’s Point of ViewI bit my lower lip as I stepped out of the elevator, still cringing at what I had said earlier.“Thank you, Miss. You made our day.”I froze and turned toward the people inside the elevator. They smiled at me, clearly amused, which made me smile back awkwardly.“You’re welcome,” I replied, though confused.Wait, what exactly made their day about what I said?Shrugging off the thought, I walked toward my department. As I entered, I glanced around. I was no longer the same timid girl I used to be. There was no more space for shyness now.“Good morning,” I greeted confidently. They turned to look at me but didn’t respond. I raised a brow at their silence.“G-Good morning, Ma’am,” they finally echoed.Perhaps they had forgotten I was their senior in this department. I headed straight to my desk and immediately noticed the files stacked high on my table. These were the tasks they either didn’t want to do or pretended to need help with.I sighed, watching them as I s

Liliana’s Point of View*I stood frozen on the spot, completely unable to move. Oh my God… I wasn’t ready for this at all. And to make things worse, Asher and I were still in a bit of a misunderstanding because of what I said earlier. Yes, yes, I know—it was my fault!“Son, who’s this girl?” his mom asked, her voice sharp and straightforward. I couldn’t even lift a finger.Asher stepped beside me and gently placed a hand on my waist, pulling me in just a little closer.“My wife. She’s my wife, Liliana,” he said clearly, like he wanted no confusion. They looked at each other for a second, then both turned their eyes to me.“It’s nice to meet you,” I said softly, bowing my head a bit out of respect. Are they going to judge me? Like those in the movies? Will they disapprove and try to tear us apart?Without realizing it, I gripped Asher’s arm tighter. He wrapped his arms around me protectively.“What’s wrong, Wife?” he whispered gently.“H-Hubby… I’m sorry about earlier. I know I upset y

Liliana’s Point of ViewI woke up early. The first thing I saw was him—still fast asleep beside me. He looked so peaceful. I couldn’t help but smile... but then I caught myself. I shook the smile away, stood up, stretched a little, and gave him one last glance before stepping outside the room.I figured I’d cook breakfast for the both of us. I mean, I know he’s tired too, and he needs proper food. Something warm. Something healthy. So I started cooking—enough for breakfast and lunch. While I was chopping vegetables, my phone buzzed. I checked it and saw a message.Just a simple “Good morning.” It was Gerald.I ignored it and set my phone back down. I tasted what I was cooking—and I smiled. It was really good. Made me feel a little proud, I guess. But then... another message.> “I miss your cooking. Hope you’d make me something again.”Yeah, right. Keep dreaming.> “Hah. No chance. I’m never cooking for you again.”It made me remember what I told him once.Flashback…“You know... I onl

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 36

Liliana’s Point of View We had just gotten back to his condo. We’d eaten out because earlier, he overheard me saying I was hungry. Instead of cooking, he decided we should eat at a restaurant. Not just any place though—he took me somewhere really expensive. I told him a cheaper one was fine, but of course, he didn’t listen. I couldn’t say no. The food was great, honestly. But the price? Seriously outrageous. “Hey,” I called out. He stopped on his way to the kitchen and turned to look at me. “What?” I paused. Oh, right... I almost forgot. “Hey,” I repeated, this time with more confidence. I had to remind myself—I need to act like the boss sometimes. He can’t always be the one in control. He started walking toward me, and I quickly stood up from the couch to meet him. I thought standing might help me feel taller. It didn’t. “Oh? What now? Gonna kiss me again?” I said with a little sass, lifting my chin as we locked eyes. He chuckled. I don’t think he meant to—it just escaped him

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 35

Liliana’s Point of View “Jack, stop teaching him those kinds of things.” “Why? Do you hit people on the head even if you’re not close to them?” I paused for a moment and slowly shook my head. “Who’d be stupid enough to hit someone they don’t know? I might get punched in return.” “Admit it—you never hit Gerald on the head, did you?” I had to think for a second. It seemed like I hadn’t. Even though we were in a relationship for years, there was always a certain distance between us. Looking back, I think I only stayed with him because I wanted attention, not love. That’s probably why I settled for him. “So, you were never close to him. But with Asher? You got close to him so fast. Congrats on that, bro. It’s weird that I’m also close to the CEO of the company I work for.” “When it comes to work, we go back to being boss and employee.” “I know that.” Asher nodded slowly. “Why haven’t you announced it yet? It would hit your ex even harder.” “I want to give them false hope first,

Liliana’s Point of ViewI arrived at the overlook and immediately spotted Asher’s car. I parked beside it, and both of them looked in my direction. Why does it seem like they’re getting along? Did Asher already tell him about our relationship?Asher’s driver walked over, opened my door, and helped me out of the car.“Kuya Driver, what’s going on with those two?” I asked in a whisper. He didn’t say anything. Instead, he gently guided me to where Asher and Jack were waiting. As I walked toward them, my heart wouldn’t stop pounding. When I reached them, I turned to Jack.“Jack, are you two close now?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.Jack looked at me seriously. I shifted my gaze to Asher, who was staring at me too.“What did you say?” I asked him.“Nothing.”I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously.“Liliana, how did the CEO become your servant?” Jack suddenly asked, clearly confused.
